La La Anthony is letting the world know that her baby boy is a whole 16-year-old now, and she shared some heartwarming throwbacks in honor of Kiyan’s birthday!
The Proud Momma Commemorated The Occasion On Instagram
La La took to social media on Tuesday to acknowledge Kiyan’s birthday, and she did so by sharing a video that showed numerous different photos of her son from over the years.
To the tune of “Promises” by Jhené Aiko, La La shows Kiyan evolving from a newborn baby to a 16-year-old young man, and her captioned kicked off with her remarking, “My boy is 16 today!”
“I still can’t really wrap my mind around having a 16 yr old. I always say I was blessed with a best friend and a son all in one. You are my happiness. You are my motivation. You are my EVERYTHING.”
La La continued by praising Kiyan and remarking that she’s “honored” to be his mother.
“You have the most humble & kind heart. You are the hardest worker and you are so focused & dedicated to your dream it’s incredible to watch. Im honored to be your mom. I thank GOD for you everyday. Enjoy your bday & all the love. I have so many things planned for you today!!”
Carmelo Also Wished Their Son A Happy Birthday
In addition to La La, we should also add that Carmelo Anthony also shared a message for their son on social media.
The NBA star started off his own post by sweetly telling Kiyan, “HAPPY BORN DAY!”
Carmelo went on to write, “Nothing Makes Me Happier Than Seeing You Grow Into The Person You Were Meant to Be!! Love You.”
La La Recently Spoke On How Protective Kiyan Is
While speaking on La La Anthony and her son, we should note that the Power actress recently dished on how protective Kiyan is of his newly-single mother dating again!
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show back in January, La La spoke on Kiyan’s reaction to her venturing out into the dating world, noting, “He’s protective…He doesn’t like it.”
“I’m like, ‘So you just want your mom to be alone forever, and he’s like, ‘Kinda'”
She humorously went on to add that living under Kiyan’s watchful eye feels like she’s back to living with her father, as she feels like she has to sneak around.
“I feel like it’s my dad in the house or something! Like, I’m sneaking and texting.”
