La La Anthony will be adding producer to her duties as it has just been announced that she will be co-producing the Broadway play, Eclipsed. Yes, its the same play that actress Lupita Nyong’o will be making her Broadway debut in !
Eclipsed depicts the image of five girls who have to stick together during the second Liberian civil war. These girls who are succumbed in a war-like zone with only each other to help free them from a negative environment that is difficult and dangerous to overcome.
For all the roommates who are “The Walking Dead” supporters, to make this drama even more interesting, the play-writes goes to Danai Gurira, who played Michonne on the hit television series. To make it even more enticing, is the main character and Oscar 2015 winner, Lupita Nyungo who will play one out of the five wives in this skin-crawling live play!
The Broadway play will start it’s pre-showcase run on Feb. 23 at the John Golden Theatre and will officially open to the public on March 6 though June 19!
Broadway director, Liesl Tommy is making a smart move on adding La La to the list because she’s all about empowering young women and getting them motivated to the top! Now she can do just that with ‘Eclipsed’ initiative to bring 10,000 women who’ve never been to Broadway now in one of the most elated entertainment spotlights of them all!

The Broadway producing team is officially set: Stephen Byrd, Alia Jones-Harvey, Paula Marie Black, Carole Shorenstein Hays, Alani LaLa Anthony, Kenny Ozoude, Michael Magers, Willette Klausner, Dominion Pictures, Emanon Productions, FG Productions, Scott & Molly Forstall, the Public Theater and associate producer Marvet Britto, according to Deadline.
