Wednesday officially marked two years since the passing of Kobe and Gianna Bryant and one person who took the time to honor them was Kobe’s former teammate Lamar Odom.
Lamar shared a video message as he acknowledged the anniversary of their passing. He shared the video on social media and captioned the video, “Forever in my heart. Didn’t want to believe it when I heard that you were gone, took me some time to digest that your magic would no longer be available for us here on Earth.”
He continued, “I told my manager that I used to stand beside you so some of your ‘Magic and Mamba Mentality’ could fall on me. It did. I spent years lost. But being able to pick up the phone and call you to get my ass chewed out always brought me back. If heaven had a phone…Rest Powerfully Bean. I know you and Mambacita got a few hoop games going on up there. Keep watch over us, until we meet again.”

Lamar also shared the chain that his management gifted him in honor of Kobe and Gianna.
The chain, which was designed by Scoobie Da Jeweler, consists of the quote, “Rest at the end, not in the middle,” which was said by Kobe himself. According to TMZ, the chain is made of 25 carats of VS diamonds and is worth around $17,000.
