Roommates, its been less than 24 hours andLattohas earned her first number one on iTunes with the recent release of theBig Energyremix featuringMariah Carey! Following the release of her debut album last week, Latto is racking up streams and positive feedback to her highly-anticipated project.
While the world was still talking about the viral Oscars moment between Will Smith and Chris Rock, Latto finally dropped the remix to her hit single Big Energy featuring the one and only Mariah Careyand her fans couldnt get enough of the track. Which explains why streams of the song are currently dominating the iTunes chart in multiple countries.
As we previously reported, last week was a pretty big week for Latto, as she wastirelessly promotingher long-awaited debut albumincluding multiple interviews, dropping a sneak peek of the tracklist and features and getting her fans ready for what theyve been waiting for. Once the album was finally out, Latto blessed her fans with one final surprise courtesy of Mariah Carey.
Just before Latto broke the news, she and Mariah were teasing fans on Twitter with subtle posts hinting that they had something in the works, and the speculation proved to be true. Youll recall that Lattos hit song Big Energy samples Fantasy, which is Mariahs chart-topping 1995 classic featuring the late Old Dirty Bastard.
