After recently celebrating her 35th birthday, Lauren London has another reason to be happy these days. She has officially teamed up with athletic brand PUMA for a new collaboration—but it’s the ad’s moving tribute to Nipsey Hussle that will touch fans hearts.
In just a few months, it will be a year since rapper Nipsey Hussle was tragically killed in Los Angeles. In the time since, his loved ones and fans have managed to keep his memory very much alive—and now his girlfriend Lauren London is taking things a step further courtesy of PUMA.
Just before his death, Nipsey revealed that he signed a deal with PUMA and following his passing his team made sure that the partnership did not fall through. Additionally, back in August, PUMA and Nipsey’s The Marathon Clothing released both a sneaker and apparel collection to much success.
Now, in the spirit of continuing the marathon, Lauren has finally revealed her new PUMA campaign titled “Forever Stronger,” which was conceptualized by her and directed by Danny Williams. In the moving video, Lauren is against the backdrop of California as she recites a poem written by Nipsey’s sister, Samantha Smith.
Speaking of the collab, PUMA released this official statement:
“Lauren London is proud to join forces with PUMA to support her on this next chapter of her journey. This piece was a creative vision Lauren wanted to bring to life to signify the continuation of her marathon alongside PUMA. Forever Stronger.”
As of right now, the “Forever Stronger” collection doesn’t have a release date.
