It looks like Lauryn Hill has been hit with yet another tax lien, and this time it’s for nearly $500,000.
According to court documents obtained by Bossip, back on June 30th, the “Ex-Factor” songstress was served with papers stating she owed the state of New Jersey $438,221.
If you guys can remember this is not the first time she’s been in trouble when it comes to her taxes. Back in 2013 she was ordered to spend six months in prison for tax evasion, as she failed to pay $1 million in backed taxes.
Following her release, she was hit with another tax lien for almost $900,000. Now the state of New Jersey currently has a lien open for the 41-year-old artist for nearly $500,000.
Aside from her financial issues, Lauryn Hill has been criticized on social media for keeping her fans waiting as she showed a pattern of being late to her shows. Back in May she showed up two hours late to her show in Atlanta, causing people to go off on social media.
She the took to Facebook to pen an open letter explaining her tardiness, which was caused by her spiritual energy being off that day.
