LeBron James Eliminated In First-Round Of The Playoffs For The First Time In His NBA Career

On Thursday, for the first time in his 18-year career, LeBron James was sent home during the first-round of the playoff games.

The Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker defeated the Lakers in Game 6 in a 116-110 win.

During a press conference, LeBron shared how this season was draining.

“I always think from the moment we entered the bubble to now, it’s been draining,” he said after his first-round defeat.

“Mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally draining. Every team has to deal with it, obviously. But with us and Miami going the long haul in the bubble and then coming right back on short notice to this season, it’s been draining,” LeBron also stated.

As you know, Anthony Davis suffered a groin injury in game five, and only played a few minutes before sitting out of game six.

During an interview, he stated, “We had the pieces. We just couldn’t stay healthy. A lot of that is on me – a main guy who couldn’t stay on the floor.”

Davis also missed 36 games this season with heel injuries and calf soreness. According to the New York Post, “he ‘wanted’ to be on the floor, but his body had other plans.”

After the game, LeBron gave Devin Booker his autographed jersey, and the two posed for a picture together.

Devin Booker scored 47 points in 46 minutes and had 11 rebounds and three assists, according to reports.
