Liam Payne‘s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, and the mother of his 7-year-old son, Cheryl Cole, have broken their silence following his passing on Wednesday, October 16.

Kate Cassidy Pays Tribute To Her Late Boyfriend Liam Payne
On Friday, October 18, Cassidy took to her Instagram Story to share a message. Payne’s girlfriend thanked the public “for all of the kind words and love” that she’s received.
Additionally, Cassidy explained that she’s “been at a complete loss.”
“Nothing about the past few days have felt real,” she wrote. “I ask and pray that you’ll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.”
Before concluding her message, Cassidy shared a message for Payne.
“Liam, my angel. You are my everything,” she wrote. “I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam… 444…”

Cheryl Cole Pays Tribute To The Father Of Her 7-Year-Old Son
About an hour later, Cole took to Instagram to share her own tribute to Payne. Additionally, Cole shared a photo of the late singer lying in bed beside their son. In a subsequent side, Cole wrote:
“As I try to navigate this earth shattering event, and work through my own grief… I’d like to kindly remind everytone that we have lost a human being,” Cole wrote. “Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother… and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face reality of never seeing his father again.”
Cole explained that “what’s troubling” her spirit is the fact their son will one day “have access to the abhorrent reports” being written about his father amid his passing.
“…I beg you to consider what use some of these reports are serving, other than to cause further harm to everyone left behind picking up the pieces,” she added. “…Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of of his death to rest in some peace at last…”

Per TMZ, Cole and Payne dated between 2016-2018 and welcomed their son in March 2017.
One Direction Recently Reacted To The Passing Of Their Bandmate, Liam Payne
As The Shade Room previously reported, Payne passed away after reportedly falling from the third floor balcony of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Argentina.
Subsequently, authorities told AP News Payne “jumped” from the balcony of the hotel. However, US Weekly has since published a report asserting that authorities are still investigating whether the musician’s death was intentional or accidental.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, October 17, Payne’s One Direction bandmates released statements in reaction to his passing.
