LiAngelo Ball is finally speaking up about his split from MissNikkiiBaby and their kids. The ‘Tweaker’ rapper slid into the comment section of a popular blog to clear the air on the child abandonment allegations, specifically. His update comes after he surprised his new boo, Rashida Nicole, with Valentine’s Day goodies and went viral with his NBA All-Star weekend performance.

LiAngelo Ball Shuts Down Child Abandonment Claims
Most recently, Nikki Mudarris (her real name) shared photos of her and Ball’s infant daughter, LaNiyah, born in December 2024. After Hollywood Unlocked reshared the baby content on Instagram, LiAngelo stepped into its comment section to address the elephant in the room.
“I’ll never leave or ‘abandon’ any of my kids so we can dead that sht rn…I love all my babies n that’s mando [black heart emoticon] yaw don’t know nothing fr,” Ball wrote.
As previously reported, MissNikkiiBaby first blasted Gelo and Rashida a week ago. Taking to Instagram, the reality TV star said her kids’ father blindsided her with the breakup. She also claimed he texted her that Rashida was pregnant and they were starting their own family. “We spent 3 1/2 years together, and last week he decided to walk out on his kids and I…,” her public statement said.
In another statement to The Shade Room, MissNikkiiBaby said LiAngelo Ball had packed and moved out a week before she blasted him and hadn’t reached out to her or their two little ones, LaVelo and LaNiyah.
“We will coparent as peacefully as possible. And I told him if he was unhappy I wish he told me but who just walks out on their kids like we don’t exist, it’s just so sad and hurtful…” Nikki Mudarris told TSR on Feb. 8. Adding, “And to throw it in my face with this new girl is actually so sick. I’m going through postpartum it’s beyond hurtful.”

As mentioned, Nikki didn’t let LiAngelo’s statement slide. Within 15 minutes of the post going live, sis hopped into TSR’s comment section with her POV! She clarified why she used the term abandonment to describe the situation with Ball. Additionally, she revealed that she isn’t comfortable with Rashida Nicole being around their two-under-two kids.
“To clarify- we DO NOT care you left me, it’s the way you DID it, blatantly disrespecting the mother of your 2 kids, not caring about my mental health while I’m caring for OUR KIDS- or my postpartum,” Nikki wrote. “In the last 3 weeks since we separated you have tried to see them twice, why would I let you take our kids while you have a woman living with you who not only disrespected me, but whom you hardly know & is a complete stranger to me. My kids are 1 years old & 2 months, they cannot talk yet and inform me of what is going on, I am not comfortable with them being around someone I don’t even know. Mind you since you left, I’m the one who reached out to YOU to FaceTime them, you haven’t text or called one time asking how they are in 3 weeks. Make it make sense! Also, I’ve offered for you to come here and I would leave you chose not to. To me that is some sort of abandonment so take it how you want. Especially since you’ve been in these kids life since the day they were born.”
Rashida Nicole Previously Defended Her Man From Nikki’s Allegations
LiAngelo Ball’s message echoes what his new girlfriend told the internet during her clapbacks at MissNikkiiBaby. Long story short, in several videos, Rashida Nicole accused Nikki of “playing victim” on social media and implied that she was upset over Ball moving on. Additionally, she alleged that Nikki doesn’t have her two kids “half the time,” which the mother denied and flipped back on Gelo.
“You don’t know what’s going on…Let’s be clear: there is no abandonment over here. Number two, the lady and her family are racist,” Rashida Nicole said.

And while Gelo took a week to respond to the child abandonment accusations, he wasted no time affirming his new relationship! Hours after Nikki and Rashida threw shady words at each other, he hopped on IG Stories to share a mirror selfie of him bunned up with his new girlfriend.
And let’s be clear: MissNikkiiBaby’s accusations haven’t slowed the new couple from flexing their honeymoon stage online. Rashida even showed off what looks like a LiAngelo Ball-inspired tattoo, and he seemingly did his BIG one for their first public Valentine’s Day together.
