Lil Durk Finally Used His Voice
The rapper took to Instagram with his first public statement since the verdict, sharing a message of gratitude for the people who stood by him. “Against all odds, we’re stronger together,” he wrote. “Allah doesn’t make mistakes. I feel all the love and positive energy. Now let me be free to help save our kids and bring unity back to our communities. I couldn’t have made it this far without my family, my lawyers, and supporters. 🫶🏾 Freedom. Freedom. Freedom.”
Durk paired the message with a photo of his legal team, including attorneys Brian Steel and Drew Findling, who have represented high-profile hip-hop figures throughout their careers. Steel previously worked on the YSL RICO case, while Findling recently made headlines after NBA player Quinn Cook gifted him an OTF chain.

Speaking with TMZ outside the downtown Los Angeles federal courthouse Friday, Big Durk said he was “bursting with joy” and could barely contain his happiness. He shared that the entire family was on a “high” following the verdict and said Lil Durk always knew the day he would be found not guilty was coming. Now that the moment has arrived, Big Durk says the family is ready to celebrate in a major way.
