Lil Uzi has never been shy about showing off his unique sense of style to the world! If y’all know Uzi, y’all know he’s always giving y’all a new look to talk about. Well, today he took the time to send a reminder to his fans about the contributions that he’s made to fashion. In fact, he says he started it!
Uzi took to his IG stories sporting a pair of green fur Marni shoes, and had a message for his followers: “Remember I’m a rapper that started fashion.” Now y’all know Uzi has come through with his looks over the years, but some fans aren’t sure that he started anything new.
We took a look back at some of Uzi’s outfits, and he’s definitely given us a sense of style we’ve never seen before. Some of our Roommates, however, dropped some iconic names in our comments who have also contributed to fashion in the rap game.
Commenters dropped names like Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky and Andre 3000, who have all had their mark on fashion over the years. We’ve also seen rappers like Young Thug, Gunna and Swae Lee serve looks we haven’t seen before.
Nevertheless, Uzi definitely deserves his flowers for rocking out as his most fashionable and authentic self.
