Lil Wayne Becomes The First Artist To Debut Two Songs In The Top Five Of The Billboard Hot 100

Everyone is still getting their lives to Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated album “Tha Carter V.” The success of the project has landed Weezy at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, but it has also allowed him to make history on Billboard’s Hot 100 List.

According to Billboard, Lil Wayne is now the first artist to debut two songs in the Hot 100’s top five at the same time.

His record “Mona Lisa,” featuring Kendrick Lamar has landed him at the No. 2 spot and “Don’t Cry,” featuring XXXTentacion has landed at the No.5 spot. He now joins Drake as the only two artists to debut four songs in the top 10 in a single week.

The success of “Uproar,” has landed the record at No.7 and “Let It Fly” featuring Travis Scott has entered the No. 10 spot.

Overall 22 of the 23 tracks from the album have entered the Hot 100, matching up with Drake. The two Young Money rappers now hold the record of charting at least 22 songs simultaneously in the survey’s history.

It’s safe to say that “Tha Carter V” was well worth the wait. Congrats to Lil Wayne on setting a new record.
