Roommates, last year Lil Wayne’s jet was searched by authorities and they reportedly found drugs, a firearm and ammunition. Today, Wayne has been hit with weapons charges and if convicted could possibly face up to 10 years in prison, according to TMZ TV.
The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida charged Lil Wayne today with 1 count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. Though Wayne was “cleared” to leave the scene after authorities searched his plane. It seems authorities now feel that Was was wrongfully in possession of a weapon and ammunition. He’s scheduled to appear in court next month.
The news comes after there have been rumors that Weezy and his model girlfriend Denise Bidot, may have broken up. Wayne recently tweeted: “I live the way I love and love the way I live,” he tweeted. “I’m a lover not a fighter [because] they burn out. I am an eternal fire and burning love, either leave with a tan, a 3rd degree burn, or stay and die in love. You’re sweating. Sincerely, the fireman.” See the post below:
Wayne and Denise started dating a few months back, following his Lil Wayne’s engagement to another model named Latecia Thomas. Wayne has also come under fire for publicly backing Donald Trump, to which 50 Cent made sure to add his own two cents. He took to instagram to say this:
