Once Cassie’s ride-or-die, Kerry, took the witness stand on Monday (May 19). She shared disturbing accusations about Cas and Diddy’s early relationship. Kerry Was Cassie’s Best Friend For 17 Years
Kerry Morgan and Cassie Ventura were thick as thieves from 2001 until 2018. From birthdays to industry events, the two were often seen side by side — including at Cassie’s 21st birthday in Vegas during the VMAs. Cassie even referred to her, during her testimony, as a close friend during her early years with Diddy.
Morgan later told the court she witnessed Diddy control Cassie’s image, career decisions, and personal life. This aligns with other testimony, including from Diddy’s former assistant David James, who claimed Diddy once said about Cassie, “I’ve got [Ventura] right where I want her, she’s young,” adding “He said she was very moldable.” Kerry’s account paints a picture of a relationship ruled by power, manipulation, and fear.
She Says Diddy Assaulted Her In 2018
While testifying, Kerry detailed a violent encounter where Diddy came up behind her, choked her, left finger marks on her neck, and hit her in the head with a wooden hanger. The alleged attack took place while Cassie was in the bathroom. She says the blow caused a concussion and was the final straw in her connection to both Diddy and Cassie.
Kerry Cut Ties With Cassie
Following the alleged assault, Kerry says she was shocked by Cassie’s lack of support. When questioned in court about why she walked away from the friendship, she simply stated, “I draw my line at physical abuse.” She also added, “The reason I stopped speaking to her was she was not supportive of me after that incident,” referring to the alleged assault. Since then, the two have not spoken — a hard cutoff after nearly two decades of friendship.
She Says Her Former BFF Tried To Pay Her Off
According to Kerry’s testimony, Cassie later offered her $30,000 to sign an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) regarding the incident with Diddy. The offer reportedly caused more tension between them and made it clear where their friendship stood.
