Drake and Sexyy Red‘s relationship has prompted chatter on the internet since they initially met in July 2023. Most recently, Joe Budden even seemed to imply that Drake is getting paid for his connection with the rapper.
So, for the record, here are a couple of times the Toronto-bred rapper has shown Sexyy Red love.
As The Shade Room previously reported, Drake initially met Sexyy Red in 2023 while city-hopping on his “It’s All A Blur” tour. On July 19, 2023, the rapper’s tour made a stop in Brooklyn, New York, at the Barclays Center.
During his performance, the rapper apparently spotted Red in the crowd and not only gave her a shoutout. But he also made sure to plant a kiss on her cheek.
Later that evening, Drizzy took to his Instagram Story to share his and Red’s link-up on social media. The rapper posted a photo of him sitting beside the Sexyy Red and added a few words.
“Just met my rightful wife @sexyyred,” he wrote before adding. “If my girl see ya’ll backstage being thirsty it’s gonna get smokey.”
Then, on Valentine’s Day, Drake released the music video for ‘Rich Baby Daddy.’ To note, the single features SZA and Sexyy Red, so naturally, Drizzy made sure the St. Louis rapper was there when the cameraman yelled action.
In the video, Red appears as Drake’s pregnant wife.
The video then showcases the pair throwing a house party as SZA attends. Of course, Drizzy didn’t pass up the opportunity to show Red some affection and dropped some kisses on her belly throughout the video.
Additionally, the video even concludes with Red giving birth to her and Drake’s child.
Now just to be clear, the pregnant part was real. Sexyy revealed her pregnancy in October, and in January she opened up about her decision to hide it while on tour. As for the identity of her child’s dad, Red is trying to keep it under wraps!
