Rihanna was back in court on Thursday (February 13) supporting her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. Their sons, Riot Rose and RZA, were also in attendance for the first time during the trial. Thursday marked the start of closing arguments for both sides, per the Associated Press.
This is the second time Rihanna has shown up for Rocky in the courtroom amid his two felony assault charges. The rapper pled not guilty in the incident involving a former friend, A$AP Relli. Rocky opted out of taking the stand. Meanwhile, Relli testified and doubled down on his allegations that Rocky shot at him with a semiautomatic firearm in November 2021.

A lawyer for A$AP Rocky said last year that the defense was unsure whether Rihanna or the boys would show. That changed the day after President Trump’s inauguration when the pop star entered the court during Relli’s second day of testimony and sat with her man’s mother and sister.
A$AP Rocky: Rihanna & Sons Pull Up To Show Support At Trial
Video captured by Extra TV shows Rihanna exiting a black truck with one son in hand while another woman carries her other. The family moved under the cover of an umbrella held by staff as they entered the courthouse in Los Angeles. She didn’t respond to any of the press shouting questions and even compliments her way.
What Was Said In Closing Arguments?
Inside the building, she, the boys, and Rocky’s mother watched as Deputy District Attorney Paul Przelomiec asked the jury to consider one question: “Was it a real gun or a fake gun?”
As previously reported, Rocky’s defense argued that the gun Rocky had in the confrontation was a prop meant to break up the fighting energy between A$AP Relli and another group member. Another A$AP member, Twelvyy, was with Rocky and testified. He said Relli was the aggressor, and backed up the rapper’s warning shots claim.
During close arguments, his lawyer, Joe Tacopina, claimed Relli is simply an “angry pathological liar” who has repeatedly committed perjury on the stand. The defense also called him an opportunist and pointed out his telling another person on a recorded phone call that he was going to take millions from Rocky.
