Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team wrapped up their two-day cross-examination of Casandra “Cassie” Ventura on day six of his federal trial. The court focused heavily on Ventura’s sexual assault allegations. In addition to, the timeline surrounding her 2023 lawsuit — both before and after she filed and settled the case.
Cross-Examination Reveals Emotional Messages Between Cassie & DIddy
The second day of cross-examination, the defense presented emotional text messages between Cassie and Diddy from 2018. In one text that defense attorney Anna Estevao read, Combs called Ventura his “ride or die always” and “one of the greatest women in the world.” To which Cassie replied, “Blew my mind a bit,” and “I don’t hate you. I never have.”
Cassie also credited Diddy for helping shape her life. In another message, she expressed gratitude writing, “I wouldn’t be at the beautiful point in my life if I hadn’t been with you.”
Cassie Testifies About Final Encounter With Combs & Alleges Sexual Assault Before Their Breakup
Ventura didn’t just revisit some of the emotional texts she exchanged with Combs but also described their final moments together. According to TMZ, she told the court that their last intimate encounter was on September 27, 2018. However, she claimed that Combs raped her that night after a breakup dinner. Despite, the alleged assault, she texted him afterward and said she had “a great time.”
By October 2018, Combs told her he planned to “fall back” but said she could still could reach out if she needed him. Ventura later replied, “I’m lost without you.”
Defense attorney Estevao also questioned Ventura about whether she still had feelings for Combs after the alleged assault. She asked if she hated him then and now. Cassie responded, “I don’t hate him.” When asked if she still loved him, she said, “I have love for the past and what it was.” She also told the court that the last time she saw Diddy was in November 2018 during Kim Porter’s memorial service in Georgia.

Freak-Off's Resurface On Final Day Of Cross-Examination
On her final day of questioning, Cassie revisited the infamous freak-offs she allegedly took part in with Diddy. TMZ reports that the defense presented 2012 messages where Diddy reportedly asked if she wanted one last freak-off. Cassie replied, “I don’t want to freak-off for the last time. I want it to be the first time for the rest of our lives.”
However, on redirect, prosecutors had her read more messages where she reportedly said, “I want to see you, but I’m emotional right now. I don’t want to do one last time. I’d rather not do it at all.”

Cassie Clarifies Visiting Women's Center For Trauma — Not Substance Treatment
In addition to unpacking her final moments with Diddy, Cassie also opened up about her time at a women’s center in 2023 as the defense pressed forward. She told the court she didn’t receive treatment for compulsive addiction, but instead went through neurofeedback therapy during her stay.
“They hook your brain up to a machine and you watch something and it regulates your brain waves,” she explained.

The singer said that therapy helped her work through trauma. She said she completed fix or six sessions, roughly once a week during her stay.
Ventura also described doing EMDR therapy, comparing to reliving a moment where she felt trapped in a room — except in therapy, she could finally experience what it felt like to get out.

As Cassie finished up her testimony, she shared a statement through her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor. She acknowledged how difficult the experience had been but expressed deep gratitude for the support she’s received.
“This week has been extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me. I hope that my testimony has given strength a voice to other survivors and it can help others who have suffered to speak up to also heal from abuse and fear. For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember and the more I can remember the more I will never forget,” she said.
Cassie also shared that she’s ready to close this chapter of her life and focus on the future as her family continues to grow.
“I want to thank my family and my advocates for their unwavering support and I’m grateful for all the kindness and encouragement that I have received. I’m glad to put this chapter of my life to rest as I turn to focus on the conclusion of my pregnancy. I ask for privacy for me and for my growing family,” she concluded.
