A Recap Of The Sentencing Of Sean “Diddy” Combs
As The Shade Room previously reported, Diddy’s sentencing hearing kicked off at 10 a.m. on Friday. Furthermore, cameras captured his loved ones, specifically his mother, Janice Combs, his sister Keisha, and six of his seven children: Quincy Brown, Justin Combs, Christian Combs, Chance Combs, Jessie Combs, D’Lila Combs, Justin’s mother, Misa Hylton, Chance’s mother, Sarah Chapman, and Victim-3, Gina Huynh, as they arrived at the Southern District Courthouse.
As the hearing got underway, Diddy reportedly entered the courtroom, waving at supporters and embracing his legal team. Furthermore, Judge Subramanian reportedly told the court that while Diddy has “expressed remorse for some things,” he hasn’t expressed remorse for what he was convicted of. He noted that the advisory sentencing range is 70 to 87 months (about six to seven years). Additionally, he explained that a $25,000 to $250,000 fine could be imposed on Diddy.
During the proceeding, it was shared that Diddy allegedly booked engagements in Miami for the week of October 5. Then, after the prosecution shared its presentation, the defense followed up, ultimately leaving Judge Subramanian to share his thoughts.
“A substantial sentence must be given to send a message to abusers and victims alike that abuse against women is met with real accountability,” the judge reportedly told the court, per CNN, adding that he wasn’t “assured” that these crimes would “not be committed” by Diddy again.
Judge Arun Subramanian then sentenced Diddy to a total of:
“50 months of incarceration”
To note, the judge also ordered 5 years of supervised release and for Diddy to pay a $500,000 fine.
