Viral Video Shows Young Kids Jumping Mother & Son In Chicago
According to CBS News, the attack happened on Monday in the South Deering neighborhood in Chicago, near Orville Bright Elementary School. Disturbing footage shows the son clinging to his mother as a group of kids, some visibly in uniform, shouted mixed comments. A young girl was also standing near the woman and her son, who Corshawnda Hatter later confirmed is her daughter.
It appears someone in the kids’ group was recording the incident. When the 33-year-old woman took a step toward one side of the crowd, at least one child told her to stay away from their brother. Another child called out the mother’s “ashy” legs, and other kids joined in using the insult “crackhead” and laughing. The video then shows the crowd backing the woman and her two kids into a fence before several kids took turn throwing punches at and pulling hair.
When the mom and son were yanked to the ground, the group of kids continued to throw punches and kicks and call out “b*tch.” At one point, at least five kids were kicking and stomping at the woman’s face and body while she was on the ground. Meanwhile, another several kids were beating on her son and pulling on his clothes. Even as the mother and son attempted to move around, the group of kids took turns jumping in and out of throwing punches, jump kicks, and pulling the boy’s locs and his mother’s wig off.
“They working that ahhh” a kid is heard saying near the end of the 1:30 minute video. When the group eventually backed off, her daughter was seen clutching the fence. Corshawnda asked about her missing phone, and as her son walked back near her as the person recording and other ran away.
