Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 11: Arson Investigator Lance Jimenez Takes Stand, Testifies To Kid Cudi Porsche Fire
Per the outlet, Jimenez has worked for the Los Angeles Fire Department since 2003. Furthermore, Judge Subramanian noted that Jimenez is an expert in “fire cause and origin determination.” Additionally, Jimenedez said he responded to Cudi’s home on January 9, 2012. He was reportedly dispatched to investigate a fire involving Cudi’s Porsche. He noted seeing a cut to the car’s canvas roof and a disposable lighter outside of the car.
“There was a bottle on the front seat, and there was like a cloth, a handkerchief, on the center console that was burned,” Jimenez recalled.
As the jury is shown more images of the burnt Porsche, Jimenez added that “severe damage” was done to Cudi’s car. However, it wasn’t as extensive as what he usually sees from “fully operational Molotov cocktails.” Per Jimenez, the full damage did not take effect because, in this case, “the cloth fell out of the bottle that didn’t shatter, causing only a smoldering fire.” Nonetheless, Jimenez added that he believes Cudi’s car was targeted.
Furthermore, the arson investigator noted that “partial DNA profile consistent with a female contributor” was derived from tests on the bottle. However, he is unsure of what this could mean because he is not a DNA expert.

Diddy Trial W3, Day 12: "Mia" Testifies About Highs & Lows About Working For Combs
Under direct examination, Mia revealed that working for Sean Combs was chaotic and toxic, but “could be exciting.” The former assistant said, “The highs were really high and lows were really really low.”
The prosecution also introduced Mia’s email from 2011 describing one of her “responsibilities” as “Anticipate his mood.” She had to send it to Toni Baez Fletcher after Ciddy allegedly said he didn’t know her daily duties. She said Diddy’s moods “dictated the day.”
Mia also said Diddy physically and sexually assaulted her on several occasions. “He’s thrown things at me. He’s thrown me against the wall, into a pool, ice bucket on my head, slammed my arms into a door. And he sexually assaulted me,” Mia testified, affirming that the sexual assault happened more than once.
Sexual inappropriateness happened from the jump in her employment. She testified on the stand that she met with a recruiter before Diddy interviewed her. The sit-down with him occurred at his apartment, and Mia said he opened the door in his underwear before putting on more clothes later.
After getting the gig, there were restrictions. Mia described Diddy as controlling about when she left the home and locking doors, like those in her bedroom. She testified to getting in “big trouble” after sneaking out at 2 a.m. on one occasion.
Mia said that she wasn’t allowed to leave Diddy’s homes without permission. She recalled leaving one night in 2009 or 2010 after Combs had fallen asleep. “Once I left at 2 am after he was asleep. I got in big trouble.” She added that Diddy didn’t allow her to lock her bedroom…

One of the highs was launching the Revolt Film Production company with Diddy, which was separate from Revolt TV. She testified to running part of the company before getting an official title. That experience was “overwhelmingly awesome” and her dream. Even with the new role, she was still doing assistant duties. Her pay began at $70,000 a month, and rose to $100,000 with promised bonuses that were never received.

Diddy Trial W3, Day 12: Mia Explains Relationship With Cassie & Violence She Witnessed
Mia confirmed that she met Cassie through Diddy as they were always together during work. She and Cas became friends, like “sisters,” and remain in contact.
Sean Combs and Cassie’s relationship was “unequal” and “toxic,” Mia testified. Like her employment, the assistant said it was “a cycle of highs and lows,” and that Diddy was abusive.
She also recalled Diddy being in control of all aspects of Cassie’s career, from the music she released to the visuals of the singer’s music videos. Diddy also called the shots on studio sessions, as well as Cassie’s appearances and promotional bookings. Mia testified to knowing this information because she sat through career meetings with Diddy and Cassie.
An email chain was introduced into the questioning. In it, Cassie said that her performance was pulled due to costs. Diddy replied, telling her to reach out to another executive because she wasn’t ready to perform and would “embarrass [herself] again,” per CNN. Cassie responded by pulling out of the show, writing back, “No label support, no show.”
Mia also delved into more details about Diddy’s alleged power over Cassie’s career. On movie sets, staff would “be really nervous,” Mia testified, because Combs would “ask a lot of question and sort of insert himself.”
Like Cassie testified, Mia affirmed that Diddy funded Ventura’s homes and cars. He’d take away gifts like jewelry “all the time,” Mia said, punishing her when upset.
Additionally, Diddy allegedly dictated when and how much time Mia and Cassie spent together. If they did something without Sean Combs’ permission, Mia said “something bad, very scary” would happen.
“Punishment was typically unpredictable but typically pretty terrifying,” Mia testified.
When Cassie didn’t answer phone calls, Mia said Diddy would have multiple people calling and emailing Cassie and others to find her, or security would show up.

Diddy Trial W3, Day 12: Mia Says She Never Saw Cassie Fight Back
“Mia” also testified about seeing Diddy attacking Cassie on multiple occasions and witnessing the singer’s injuries afterward. She said the mogul would chase Cas, throw her on the ground, and “crack her head open.” Still, she said, she didn’t see Cassie fight back. “I’ve just seen her with her arms up, for him to stop,” Mia testified.
The first time she noticed the signs of violence was at Diddy’s home in Los Angeles, Mia said. She testified to hearing thuds against the wall from his bedroom and seeing suitcases fly over the railing into the foyer. She saw Cassie hiding behind a bush outside the house, and the singer allegedly signaled for Mia not to reveal her hiding spot. “She had the most terrified look in her eyes,” Mia stated.
She also recalled the same incident that Cassie and Deonte Nash did on the stand, when Diddy caused a gash on Cassie’s face by pushing her into bedroom furniture. Mia testified that she and Nash were trying to stop Diddy from attacking Cassie, then Combs got Nash into a position that Mia said looked like he was “going to kill him.” In response, Mia jumped on Diddy’s back, but he threw her against a wall. “…I realized we were in real, real danger,” she testified.
Mia reportedly got choked up with emotion as her testimony about that incident continued. She said Cassie’s head was gushing with blood after Diddy slammed her into the bed frame. When Combs ordered Mia to call a plastic surgeon and say Cassie fell while drunk, Mia testified that she complied. She did it both because he asked, and because she wanted to get Cassie help, and thought that’d be the only way. Prosecution asked Mia to describe Diddy’s demeanor during the attack, and she added that he didn’t appear to be on drugs.
“His eyes turned, like, black and there was like no getting through,” Mia testified. “Like, I was trying to get him to stop, and it was like he was looking through me.”

Diddy Trial W3, Day 12: Mia Says Prince's Security Stopped A Beating At A Party
Before a court lunch break, Mia also opened up about witnessing Diddy wild out on Cassie at a Prince party. That was in 2010, around the time of the Emmys, and he had ordered Mia to stay with Cassie at a hotel to keep her company. While there, the friends learned of a party at Prince’s house, and “debated like little kids” about sneaking out before choosing to. They were living it up at the party, dancing and watching Prince perform, then Diddy ultimately walked in. Mia says she locked eyes with him, and Cassie took off running. However, Diddy allegedly caught the singer and started beating her on the ground. “He started attacking her, but Prince’s security swiftly intervened,” Mia testified.
Mia said she left the function and stayed at a separate hotel. However, the next day, an HR representative told her Diddy was suspending her without pay for being “insubordinate.”
The court broke for lunch afterward.

Diddy Trial W3, Day 12: Mia Testifies About Seeing Cassie With Bruises & Black Eyes
Ahead of lunch, Judge Arun Subramanian agreed to keep the jury until at least 4 p.m. on Thursday for continued testimony, and possibly late tomorrow to complete Mia’s testimony.
After lunch, Mia testified about the 2012 Turks & Caicos trip previously mentioned in the trial. She spoke about hearing Cassie run and scream for help, telling Mia, “You gotta help me, he’s gonna kill me” at one point. She described Cas as “very chill, calm” by nature, but she said the screams sounded like they were for her life. She and Cassie pushed furniture against a door to keep Combs out of the room, but Mia testified that he caught up and banged on the door while screaming. She said they ran out the patio door to hide on the beach.
On another occasion, when Diddy chased Cassie in Turks & Caicos, Mia said they took paddleboards out to sea while he stood on the shore “running back and forth” behind the house, “screaming” at them. They returned to shore after the weather got back and weighed what was scarier: Mother Nature or Puff.
The former assistant affirmed that she witnessed Cassie with bruises on her body, “fat lips,” and a busted eyebrow. There was also a gash on her forehead, black eyes, and “things like that,” Mia said.
The prosecution introduced a photo from ‘The Perfect Match’ premiere in 2016, at which Cassie had bruising on her arm and under her eye covered by makeup. See the photo above and below for reference from that night.

Years before, at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival, Mia recalled seeing Cassie with a busted lip and other injuries in a hotel room. Cassie had also allegedly played her a recording of Combs yelling while he attacked her. At a movie premiere during that trip, Mia said she witnessed Diddy digging his nails into Cassie’s arm and speaking to her through gritted teeth.
When injuries were too severe to cover up, Cassie would hide out at hotels and later in her apartment, Mia testified. When the injuries had healed enough, Cassie would leave, never again.
After Diddy discovered that Cassie was dating Cudi, Mia said he was like a “dark calm before the storm.” He was “upset” and seemed “heartbroken. ” She claimed that she was bracing herself for something “really bad” to happen.

Diddy Trial W3, Day 12: Mia Was Tasked With Sweeping Hotel Rooms After Stays
The former assistant testified that one of her duties was sweeping Diddy and Cassie’s hotel rooms after their stays. She said her job was to make sure nothing was left behind that could hurt Combs’ rep. They particularly looked for anything housekeepers could take to TMZ, Mia indicated. Also, she mentioned that the rooms were often a “nightmare,” with candle wax and baby oil spills. One time, Diddy allegedly told her that the blood she was cleaning was “period blood.”
Like another former Diddy assistant who testified, Mia said she set up hotel rooms with lotions, baby oil, and lubricant. Candles, white only with no labels, were always on Combs’ request list. She remained on call for drop-off orders during the hotel stays.

Diddy Trial W3, Day 12: Mia Says Diddy Switched Up How He Treated Her Throughout Her Employment
Mia testified that Diddy’s behavior toward her flip-flopped over time. Sometimes she was like a best friend, and other times he’d allegedly treat her “like a worthless piece of crap.”
“He would humiliate me, he would curse at me, he would go on really long extended rants about how incompetent and stupid I was, threaten my job,” the ex-employee said.
When angry, he threw things, from a bowl of spaghetti to a phone, a computer, and even turkey meat. His threats also involved her work on film and TV projects, threatening to take them away or delete her credits.
At one point, Mia testified that the first time she took drugs other than weed was at Diddy’s Miami home after he gave her MDMA. During another instance, she said Combs pressured her to participate in a snorting, guessing game with powders of molly, cocaine, and ketamine. When she tried to fake it, Diddy got upset, she said, and she felt like she had no choice but to snort what turned out to be ketamine.

Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 12: "Mia" Says Diddy Once Stole Her Phone & Threatened Her
Per CNN, before the court recessed for a short break, “Mia” testified about Diddy using her phone on one occasion and then taking it and running away. During the ordeal, she allegedly chased him, which escalated to him “slamm[ing] her arm in a bathroom door multiple times.”

Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 12: "Mia" Elaborates On Sexual Assault Accusations Against Diddy
As her testimony continued, Mia shared that Diddy sexually assaulted her multiple times during her career with Bad Boy. Mia says she didn’t inform Cassie, nor was the singer around when the incidents occurred. One instance reportedly happened after Diddy’s 40th party. At the time, they were at a hotel, and Diddy gave Mia two shots.
“[They] hit me kinda hard,” she told the court, and afterward, Diddy allegedly kissed her. “I was shocked and I froze. I couldn’t even process what was happening.”
She says she remembers waking up the next morning thinking, “It was probably a huge accident.” Mia added that she did not tell anyone about the incident. Furthermore, in 2009 or 2010, Mia alleged Diddy raped her at his home in Los Angeles, California. She was reportedly sleeping in the home when Diddy climbed on top of her, took off her pants, and “put himself inside” of her.
“I just froze, I didn’t react,” she said, noting feeling “terrified and confused and ashamed and scared.”
Additionally, she said the alleged rape “was very quick, but it felt like forever.” Furthermore, in a separate instance, Mia says Diddy sexually assaulted her during another occasion in the LA house.
“I felt like trash,” she told the court.
Per the former assistant, the assaults at Diddy’s hands were sporadic and random.
“There wasn’t time to stop and think and reflect or anything, just keep it moving like it never happened,” she said.
As for why Mia did not reject Diddy, she explained that she couldn’t tel him “no.”
“I couldn’t tell him ‘no,’ like, about a sandwich. I couldn’t tell him ‘no’ about anything. There’s no way I could tell him ‘no,'” she said. “[If so,] e would fire me and ruin my future and somehow twist the story into making me look like a threat.”
As for why she’s speaking up now:
“I didn’t know that you had to tell the bad things that happened to you if nobody else saw… [It’s] the most shameful thing of my life… [But] when you’re scared into silence, these things continue to happen to others,” she said. “It’s the most traumatizing, the worst thing that’s ever happened to me.”

However, afterward, the person was fired. Furthermore, afterward, Diddy reportedly told Mia that a lawsuit could come from the fired assistant or Capricorn Clark.

Court resumed on Friday, May 30, with Diddy’s former assistant “Mia” returning to the witness stand. She explained that in October 2015, she was told by Diddy to accompany Cassie to a movie shoot in South Africa. While she and Cassie were there, Cassie reportedly learned Diddy was cheating on her. Specifically, the singer reportedly saw footage of Diddy with another woman.
“She was devastated,” Mia told the court. “They were on the phone, and then at one point, she didn’t want to speak with him, so she stopped answering his calls.”
Diddy reportedly tried to get Mia and another of his employees, Kristina Khorram, to put him in touch with Cassie.
“I was put in the middle,” she said.
At that point, the jury was shown texts between Mia and Diddy, shared on October 31, 2015.
“If you dont call me now f**k it all. And imma tell everything. And dont ever speak me again. You have 2 min. F**k her. Call my [house] now or never speak to me again. F**k abc and all lawyers. Let’s go to war,” Diddy wrote.
Per Mia, she believed Diddy was threatening that he’d tell Cassie about the sexual assault. However, he intended to make it look “as though it was [her] fault or that [she] was, or that [she] had a part in it.”
Additionally, she explained that ABC recently purchased the rights to a comedy show she’d written.
“[It was] the most exciting thing that’s ever happened in my life, and he’s threatening to take that away,” she told the court.
In turn, Mia begged with Diddy.
“She just texted you – she said she just needs the time to change please just be nice on the phone please,” she wrote back to him.
In turn, Diddy reportedly sent at least 10 more messages, ultimately writing:
“I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s best that we no longer have any dealings.”
Afterward, Diddy allegedly threatened Mia’s job if she didn’t leave South Africa. She had reportedly paid for her flight there but needed financial assistance to leave. She emailed Diddy in response. However, she did not receive an answer from him.
“I want to stay with Cass, but I don’t want to make him mad,” she told the court. “I’m tiptoeing: That’s the way I would survive, so I didn’t make him more mad or make him think that I thought what he was doing was wrong… It didn’t matter what I wanted or what anyone else wanted; it matters what he wants, and he was in charge.”

Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 13: Mia Says She Tried To Run Away From Her Job
Per Mia, she was suspended from her job several times. Instances included when she fell asleep on the job after being awake for days or if she didn’t carry out Diddy’s orders to a T. On one occasion, in March 2011, she recalled being suspended after not picking out his clothes correctly.
“He was just screaming and cursing at me and wouldn’t stop,” she said.
Ultimately, she was suspended for five days without pay.
Additionally, Mia explained that she tried to “run away” from working for Diddy before her career with Bad Boy ended in 2017. However, her attempts were unsuccessful, and she felt Diddy would blackball her from the industry if she left her position.
“He would’ve made sure of it,” Mia explained. “He would have destroyed my reputation. I was scared of him.”

Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 13: Mia Shares That Diddy Decided To End Revolt Films
In 2016, Mia says she was informed that “out of the blue,” Diddy decided to shut down Revolt Films.
“Out of the blue, he just said ‘I hate to tell you this but I talked to Mr. Combs and he no longer wants to be involved with film, so he basically wants to end Revolt Films,'” Mia recalled being told by Brian Offutt, the then-Chief Operating Officer of Combs Enterprises.
Per Mia, she was in shock and confused. She explained that she was told by Diddy that Revolt Films was the only company of his that was lucrative that year. She recalled feeling “rejected” and “betrayed” by Diddy not informing her of the decision himself. Additionally, she explained that she worked on a Bad Boy documentary before leaving the company in 2017.
That year, it was reportedly completed without her assistance.
“I didn’t want to leave the company that I built where I was actually started to see my dreams come to fruition,” she told the court. “…I didn’t realize that. In hindsight, (it was) fantastic, but at the time, the worst thing in the world.”
The jury is shown text messages between Mia and Kristina Khorram, in which the two discuss Revolt Films shutting down. Mia wrote to Khorram saying her life is over, and expressed she wanted to take her own life.

“He told me, ‘You better learn to walk on water like Jesus, b*tch. Get the f**k out of here,'” she told the court.
She then hid from Diddy before a crew member brought her ashore. Once there, he reportedly asked for her to return. She didn’t want to, but she “obeyed Puff’s orders.”
Afterward, the plans quickly relocated to Vegas, to which she says Diddy forced her to go with him. She believed she had no option to say no and complied.

Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 13: Mia Speaks About Hiring Employment Attorney & Living With PTSD
In 2017, Mia says she hired employment attorneys “help her negotiate a severance and bonuses, leading to months of negotiations.” She was reportedly told by Kristina Khorram that Diddy believed she “stabbed him in the back” with the move.
Originally, her attorneys made a settlement offer of $10 million from Diddy. However, they settled for around $400,000, and she received $200,000. Additionally, she noted that she informed “some people” about the violence she experienced while working with Diddy. However, she didn’t mention the sexual assaults.
She explained she would “died” with the information if it hadn’t been for the current trial.
After her filing, she reportedly received a text from D-Roc.
“‘Yeah it’s real crazy what’s going on,” Mia recounted him saying. “‘Cause you know, like, Puff and Cass — they would just fight like a normal couple.'”
D-Roc reportedly then informed her that Diddy wanted to speak to her. However, she did not answer his calls.
“It was just so triggering to see that, it was just a reaction,” she said, recalling that she threw her phone as far as it could go when she saw one of his calls.
Per Mia, she reportedly hasn’t been able to work due to severe PTSD.
“I would have to leave because I would be triggered by really normal situations with like an overwhelming sense of fear of being in trouble,” she told the court.
She recalled someone asking her where she was — they only wanted to get coffee. However, she experienced an overwhelming feeling of fear and a sense she’d be in “trouble.”
When asked who was the source of this feeling, she said, “Puff.”
Mia testified she’s no longer employed because she suffers from complex PTSD. She revealed her symptoms are, “Misinterpreting emails. Someone calls my name from across the room, all the feelings o getting in trouble come flooding back. I triple guess myself.”

Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 13: Courts Returns From Lunch, "Mia" Is Asked About Recorded Birthday Video Sent To Diddy
Around 12:30 p.m. EST, the court broke for lunch and resumed after 1:15 p.m. EST. The defense continued cross-examination by striving to ask Mia about a video she recorded and sent to Diddy for his birthday in 2013.
The defense reportedly did not submit the video earlier, and reportedly argued that it should be shown to uncover Mia’s “act.”
Ultimately, the judge ruled that the defense would not show the footage to the court. However, the judge allowed cross to include questions about the clip.
After the decision, the jury was shown more photos Mia shared on social for Diddy’s birthdays. One included Diddy’s 40th birthday when the first allegedly sexual assault occurred.
“It was Puff’s birthday, that’s what the date was,” Mia explained, in reference as to why she still shared the post despite the traumatic event. “And I tried to forget that night and shove it down. I never wanted to think about it again.”
Steel had Mia read the message she wrote about Diddy on that birthday: “Legend, rapper, actor entrepreneur, an extraterrestrial was born, happy b-day thank you for showing me the path to Pluto and beyond.”

Diddy Trial Week 3, Day 13: Mia Reviews "Scrapbook" She Made For Combs
On the stand, Mia went on to review a scrapbook she made for Diddy.’
“I remember this, it was so nice of me,” she said.
Mia reportedly made the book for Diddy in 2014, for his 45th birthday.
“Happy 45th Birthday, Puff Daddy,” she wrote at the time, alongside a handwritten letter.
Furthermore, she explained that she made the book after Diddy told her, I used to look at the world the way you did.” To her, he seemed to imply that he had experienced the world and “there was nothing left now that he had done everything.” She explained that she thought the book would make him happy and made a nice gesture for someone who had everything money could buy.
“I was young and manipulated and eager to survive. I’m unraveling a lot of this now in therapy. Nobody was there to say these things that were happening were wrong. There was nobody around us that ever even flinched at his behavior. I was always in trouble and I was always just trying to find a way not to be in trouble,” she said of her actions and why she worked for Diddy for so long before her exit.
In turn, Steel asked why Mia would need a third party to confirm her negative experiences. She responded by explaining that she has a “trauma brain” and a “logic brain.”
“Eventually, it becomes normalized, and you’re just trying to get back to the good. You make excuses for people. I’m a people pleaser. I’m an empath. I’m a rule follower,” she said. “I just wanted to do my best and make everybody happy all the time. So I tend to take a lot more than normal people. I don’t know how to explain that. I don’t know if I should apologize for that. I forgive people all the time for things.”
