This year, Drake and Kendrick Lamar‘s fans watched their bubbling beef boil over. Their back-and-forth disses about careers, Blackness, and families all culminated in the standout clapback, ‘Not Like Us.’ Drake has continued to pop out since the video for that four-minute blow dropped in July. Most recently, Drizzy highlighted his “real friends” and warned a Toronto audience about watching out for the fake ones.

Drizzy Drake Talks About Being Stabbed In The Back
According to Billboard, the rapper stepped out this past weekend in his hometown. While on the mic at a nostalgia party, he let it be known his “real friends” were with him that night.
“Listen, imma tell you one thing about nostalgia. One thing about nostalgia and this party here. My real friends are definitely in the building, but I’m gonna tell you: You’re going to come to a point in life where people you thought were friends, or people you thought were close to you, they might switch up. They might try to move funny with you. They might stab you in the back. They might do a lot of things to you,” Drake said.
Wearing a yellow jersey and baggy pants with his signature cornrows, Drake shared that betrayal is a part of life. “You’ll come to that realization, wherever you’re at in life. You’ve probably been there and you’ll be there again. That’s how life is. But look, sometimes it’s you and you alone by yourself. Sometimes it’s you alone with your thoughts.”
