Kristy Scott Facts: Before Her Social Media Fame, She Started A Wedding Film Company With Her Now-Estranged Husband, Desmond Scott
In 2018, Kristy and Desmond Scott sat down for an interview with Voyage Houston Magazine. In the interview, Desmond opened up about the couple’s creation of their wedding recording company, Meant To Be Films.
“We take a very cinematic approach to our creative stories. We accomplish this successfully by getting to know our couples and their story. On the day of we capture our couple’s most intimate moments. It’s so much fun and truly an honor to be a part of one of the biggest days of someone’s life,” Desmond explained to the outlet about their work.
Additionally, Desmond spoke on the importance of highlighting the love other couples share with the him and Kristy’s as inspiration.
“…The inspiration is love. Knowing what it means to love, to know you have formed a bond with the one person who understands you, really inspires us to capture others so that they can remember and cherish the day that means so much to them as it did for us. Our hope is that when viewers see our films, it inspires them to find and keep the love we all look for in life and to see what an impact it is to have the support of family and friends,” he said.

Another Fact: Quarantine Pushed Her & Desmond To Ramp Up On Content Creation

In 2021, while appearing on the ‘Shawn & Andrew Podcast,’ Kristy explained that she and Desmond started creating humorous content on social media due to the impact of “quarantine.”
“We would post stuff on social media every now and then before the pandemic happened,” she said. “But when quarantine started, I just started posting on social media every day and getting this fool [pointing to Desmond], and once this guy started to laugh and just be his normal, crazy self, it started to just blow up.”
Furthermore, Desmond explained that as their social media fame took off, they “slowed down a lot” with their wedding film company.

Kristy And Desmond Met On Facebook In 2010
Around the 14-minute mark of Kristy and Desmond’s interview on the ‘Shawn & Andrew Podcast,’ Desmond explained that they initially connected on Facebook. At the time, they were in high school, and their first date was at the movies.
“I remember it like it was yesterday. I was so nervous,” he recalled.
In turn, Kristy gushed over Desmond wanting to “marry” her on Facebook the first time they connected. They both noted that despite going their different ways for college, they ultimately reconnected, rekindled their romance, and married when Desmond was 20 and Kristy was 19.

Kristy Is Into Wellness & Crafting A Morning Routine
In 2024, Kristy sat down with Bustle and opened up about prioritizing her wellness despite a chaotic social media and influencer schedule.
“In the mornings, I’m all about writing, and planning my day, and just reflecting. I feel like if I start my morning like that, I’m going to have a successful day… Once I get my to-do list done, it’s about shutting everything down by the time the kids get home so I can just focus on them and Desmond,” she said.
Additionally, she explained that she’s into going to the spa and switching up her location by traveling.
“But my ideal day is getting a facial, getting a massage, and maybe sitting in a jacuzzi. That’s heaven. If I could do it every day, I would,” she said.

In 2024, they celebrated 10 years of their union with a “redo” of their wedding, per PEOPLE.
“We were teenagers and hadn’t even developed any style preferences, so this was our chance to redo our wedding as the adults that we are now, celebrating the life we’ve built and journey thus far! This felt even more special than our wedding,” they said at the time. “We have been best friends since teenagers and that’s never changed. We focus on genuinely having fun, constantly laughing, keeping things light and spontaneous and finding humor in everyday life. 10 years flew by, we’ve literally grown up together and navigated life together.”
