Roomies, Jacquees has been at the center of the conversation surrounding Usher and Chris Brown’s massive ‘R&B’ Tour, especially after opening up about wanting a spot on the historic run. Meanwhile, Eric Bellinger, Tank, and Mario have each shared their own perspective on being part of the tour and what the opportunity means to them. Here’s what the R&B stars had to say!
So, What Did Jacquees Say To Get Everyone Trippin’?
Jacquees recently got candid with Mz. Shyneka at Streetz 94.5 about sitting out Usher and Chris Brown’s ‘R&B’ Tour, admitting that he definitely would’ve been interested in joining the historic run. “Do I feel like I’m overlooked at times? Of course,” he said. “Did I wanna be on the R&B tour? Of course, that would’ve been dope.” But Jacquees also made it clear he wasn’t looking to simply blend into the lineup, explaining, “I don’t think I would’ve been singing background like Mario, you know what I’m saying? And Tank and all that stuff,” before adding, “I would’ve wanted to hold my own.”
Eric Bellinger Breaks Down Why He Joined The Tour
Eric Bellinger shared his perspective directly with The Shade Room’s China Lovelace, Sr. Social Media Producer, explaining that joining the tour was about connecting with fans, supporting his fellow R&B artists, and introducing his music to massive audiences. “For me, it was really about getting out and touching the people. I have the opportunity to support my brothers, while introducing myself to 70,000 plus new fans every night and at the same time promote my upcoming self-titled album, ‘Eric Bellinger’ out August 21st. It’s been a win-win situation: Doing what I Love, connecting with people in real life, and gaining new fans along the way. To each its own.”

Tank Is Standing Ten Toes On His Decision
Tank offered his perspective by pointing to the choices he’s made throughout his three-decade career and what those decisions have ultimately led to. “Every man has a choice to make. I’ve been making hard and unpopular choices for 30 years. The sum of those choices has me performing in front of 70k people tonight at MetLife Stadium for the biggest R&B tour in history. I’m ok with the choice I made.” His comments emphasized that he’s comfortable with the path he chose and where it has taken him.

Kandi Burruss also jumped into The Shade Room’s comments with plenty of love for the R&B legends involved. Under TSR’s exclusive with Eric Bellinger, Kandi praised Usher and Chris Brown for uplifting their fellow artists, while also giving Eric Bellinger, Mario, and Tank their flowers for putting egos aside and coming together to represent R&B. She also made sure to shout out Jacquees, adding that she loves him and wasn’t trying to discredit his feelings, before wishing everyone “Much love & success to them all!”

Meagan Good Had Something To Say Without Saying A Word
Meagan Good also chimed in under The Shade Room’s exclusive with Eric Bellinger, though she didn’t add any words to the conversation. Instead, she simply dropped a “💅🏽😌” in the comments — and while we can’t say exactly what she meant by it, Roomies already know folks are going to have their own interpretations.
