Jamie Foxx Is Reportedly Receiving Treatment At Physical Rehabilitation Center In Chicago

According to TMZ, Jamie Foxx has been relocated from Atlanta to Chicago to receive continued medical treatment at a “facility touted as the top physical medicine and rehabilitation center in the country.”

The outlet reports that Foxx arrived at the facility in late April after receiving treatment at an Atlanta hospital and has been “recovering well” since his arrival.

However, the outlet says it remains unclear “what happened to Jamie or why he’s there.”

Additionally, the only facts about the facility known for sure are that it reportedly specializes in cancer rehabilitation, stroke recovery, spinal cord injury rehab, and traumatic brain injury rehab. The center also reportedly offers an “adaptive sports and fitness program,” which could also explain Corinne Fox’s most recent statement about her father playing pickleball.

In the initial report, the outlet also included photos of Foxx’s daughters, Corinne and Anelise, visiting him at the facility over the weekend.

Additionally, Foxx’s daughter Anelise was seen carrying her guitar, which is a  positive sign since Foxx has publicly noted how important music is to him. Anelise’s mother was also seen visiting the facility and leaving with Mother’s Day flowers and balloons.

On Monday, it was revealed that Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne will co-host a family game show set to premiere in 2024.

As The Shade Room previously reported, the show is called ‘We Are Family’ and will highlight non-famous relatives performing alongside their “hidden” famous family member.

Additionally, the show will “feature a studio audience entirely comprised of 100 contestants,” the contestants can win up to $100,000 if they correctly guess the celebrity that the unmasked performer is related to prior to them being revealed.

Jamie Foxx and his daughter also released a statement to accompany the news, as reported by Variety.

“We are thrilled to be developing We Are Family with Jeff Apploff and our friends at Fox Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of Beat Shazam. We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”

Earlier last week, Corinne Foxx shut down disparaging rumors that alluded that her father’s health worsened.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Foxx took to social media on May 12 to share that her dad has actually been “recuperating” and has been out of the hospital “for weeks.”

“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!…”

Foxx continued by thanking the public for their “prayers and support” and shared that she and her father had an “exciting announcement” on the way.
