It's Like That? Social Media Goes WILD With Reactions To Kendrick Lamar Popping Off On 'GNX' Lil Wayne Snoop Dogg wacced out murals

Kendrick Lamar is ending 2024 with another bang! On Friday (Nov. 22), he released a surprise project titled ‘GNX.’ Several of the album’s tracks have already gone viral, particularly ‘wacced out murals.’ In addition to discussing the quality of the music, supporters and critics are breaking down his spicy lyrics and perceived jabs. For one, K. Dot addressed Lil Wayne and his Super Bowl disappointment. For two, he also name-dropped Snoop Dogg for reposting Drake’s ‘Taylor Made Freestyle’ song.

The track included AI-generated verses from Snoop and Tupac. However, Drake later removed it from social media after Tupac’s family sent a cease-and-desist to the Toronto rapper.

Kendrick Lamar Addresses Lil Wayne & His Super Bowl Reaction

In September, the internet was in shambles as folks discussed Kendrick Lamar headlining the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The February event will take place in New Orleans, and despite this not being the first time that’s happened, fans and celebrities like Nicki Minaj voiced concerns about Lil Wayne not getting the gig. Even Tunechi himself shared his deep disappointment with the missed opportunity. He recently suggested the Super Bowl opportunity was “ripped away” from him.

Still, Kendrick Lamar kept quiet. Little did we know that he was crafting his response from the booth. In the ‘GNX’ opening track ‘wacced out murals,’ Lamar raps about disappointing Wayne by winning.

“I used to bump ‘Tha Carter 3’, I held my Rollie chain proud. Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down.”

In follow-up lyrics, K. Dot added, “Got the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me, all these n****s agitated I’m just glad it’s on they faces.”

Snoop Dogg Reacts To Kendrick Name-Dropping Him

As mentioned, Lil Wayne wasn’t the only direct name-drop in the song ‘wacced out murals.’ In between addressing Lil Wayne and acknowledging Nas for the congratulations, he also pointed out something he noticed about Snoop Dogg.

For context, during the heat of Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s rap beef, Snoop shared a confused reaction to Drizzy’s diss ‘Taylor Made Freestyle.’ That was in April. The following month, Snoop gave Drizzy and Dot “a shoutout for raising the bar” in lyrics, song-making, and writing. “Those are my nephews. I’m not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that’s personal business, not my business,” Snoop Dogg added.

After K. Dot’s viral Juneteenth concert, though, Dogg doubled back to crown Kendrick Lamar as the “king of the West” for the unity he displayed during the show.

On ‘wacced out murals,’ Kendrick raps: “Whatever though, call me crazy, everybody questionable turned me to an Eskimo. I drew the line and decimals. Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles. I couldn’t believe it. It was only right for me to let it go.”

Like fans and foes, celebrities have also begun sharing their reactions to Kendrick’s surprise release—Snoop included. The West Coast rapper hopped on X (formerly Twitter) to inform his supporters that he heard Kendrick’s namedrop. Not only that, but he’s standing by his assessment of the rapper from June.

“K Dot new album ‘GNX,'” Snoop wrote, adding extra fire, explosion and mic emojis. “It was the edibles. West West king.”
