On Thursday, February 22, ‘RHOA’ star Porsha Williams reportedly filed for divorce from her husband Simon Guobadia. Williams’ move came fifteen months after the pair wed in two grandiose wedding ceremonies, in which she memorably donned a reported seven wardrobe changes.

In May 2021, Williams revealed her engagement to Guobadia, per The Shade Room. According to Bustle, the announcement surprised ‘RHOA’ fans because Guobadia had reportedly just announced his divorce from Falynn Pina days earlier.
In an Instagram post shared on May 10, 2021, Williams revealed more about her romance with Guobadia. She alleged that their relationship begun a month earlier and that Guobadia had filed for divorce from Pina in January 2021. Additionally, Williams explained that Guobadia’s divorce was now settled.
Furthermore, she concluded her thoughts by explaining that she and her fiancé were looking forward to their life together.

Additionally, Simon Guobadia also shared his relationship update with fans, explaining that he and WIlliams had “chosen to travel together as one and spread love and positivity” to their community.
Porsha Williams Shuts Down Pregnancy Rumors
A few days after revealing her engagement, Williams would have to shut down pregnant rumors while appearing as a guest host on ‘Dish Nation.’ At the time, Williams let it be known that a “shotgun wedding” was not going down on her side.
“I know it seems fast to everybody else, but I’ve been waiting for a love like this, and God answered my prayers, and he’s here, and I wasn’t gonna deny it when it was smacking me dead in my face, and so, I’m happy,” she shared.

November 2021: Porsha Spills The Tea On How Their Romance Started
According to Screen Rant, Williams appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ and opened up about her romance with Guobadia in November 2021. At the time, she explained that the pair connected via direct message on social media.
Cohen seemed to suggest that Guobadia reached out to Williams. Meanwhile, Williams seemed to imply that she offered words of support to Guobadia in return, although she never guessed they would fall in love.
“I actually told him, ‘I’m sorry for your divorce,’ and all of that because I know what that feels like,” Williams reportedly explained. “I know what it feels like to go through betrayal and hurt.”
Furthermore, Williams explained she and her fiancé no longer had any communication with Guobadia’s ex-wife and her former ‘RHOA’ co-star, Falyn Pina.

In early November 2022, Williams took to Instagram Live to show fans pieces from her Amazon clothing collection. However, while trying to pan the camera to a model wearing an item from the collection, Williams mistakenly gave fans a good look at one of her wedding dresses.

It was reportedly held at the Four Seasons hotel and featured 250 guests with traditional Nigerian ensembles.
