Celebrities are putting their pockets where their mouths are in the aftermath of the California wildfires! Beyoncé and Jamie Lee Curtis are two of the most recent A-listers to pledge over $1 million in relief efforts. Others, like The Game, are volunteering their time, and some entertainers, like Halle Berry, have donated essentials such as clothing.

Here’s a rundown of how Hollywood is stepping up for Los Angeles County after thousands of emergency workers fought at least five fires in the last week.
Beyoncé Puts Up Millions For Los Angeles Wildfires Relief
They say everything is bigger in Texas! Well, Houston’s very own Beyoncé kept the same energy with her recent philanthropic efforts. On Sunday (January 12), the singer’s foundation, BeyGOOD, announced the launch of its L.A. Fire Relief Fund and a $2.5 million donation from Queen Bey. The announcement’s caption on Instagram explained how the money would be used for families in the Altadena and Pasadena areas. “Los Angeles, we stand with you,” the post said.
The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires,” the caption explained.
Jamie Lee Curtis Donates $1 Million
Like Beyoncé, Jamie Lee Curtis pledged six figures last week to help with the impact of the California wildfires. Unlike Bey, though, Jamie is a resident of one of the hardest-hit neighbors, Palisades. Lee has shared several posts on her Instagram feed about the fires burning in L.A. county.
However, on January 9, the actress revealed she, her husband, and her children would be donating $1 million to relief efforts through their Family Foundation. Lee pledged the generous amount despite her own home and neighborhood streets being unaffected.
On January 11, Lee updated her IG followers about her first donation distributions to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Foundation, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, California Community Foundation Wildfire Recovery Fund, and the Red Cross of LA County.
