MBJ pulled up to the Oscars carpet in an all-black suit with a chain accent on the pants, giving “Smoke and Stack” energy. In January, MBJ revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the first person he called about his ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’ nomination for ‘Sinners’ was his mother. Also, the film itself made history with 16 Oscar nominations. Mama Jordan often accompanies her son on red carpet. What a moment tonight!
“My mom was my first call. It was great. A lot of tears and the reason why I’m even in this industry and why I’m acting at all — why that was even an idea. To talk to the woman who started it all first meant the world.”

However, the couple hasn’t made any formal annoucements. Recently, the ‘Drama’ actress surprised a couple at their wedding and joked about her “last name confirmation” while signing their paperwork as a “witness” to the marriage.
Meanwhile, at the Oscars!? Law Roach came prepared to switch topics when THR asked whether he thought the tea spilled would “blow up the way that it did.” The iconic stylist IMMEDIATELY switched topics and jumped to complimenting the weather!
Anna Wintour Jokingly Shades Anne Hathaway At Oscars 2026
We’re less than 50 days away from the release of ‘Devil Wears Prada 2,’ in which Anne Hathaway will be reprising her role as Andrea. Fans remember that Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) used to call her “Emily” in the first film. Well, tonight at the Oscars, Anna Wintour had the audience weak with laughter after using the pet name to refer to Anne Hathaway! Anne played into the moment, asking for Wintour’s thoughts on her Oscars gown. With her sunglasses on, Wintour leaned into the mic and said, “And the nominees are.” Watch the hilarious moment below.
‘Sinners’ Tribute Performance Brings Misty Copeland Out Of Retirement
Miles Caton and Raphael Saadiq performed ‘I Lied to You,’ the nominated original song from ‘Sinners.’ They were joined by other major names in performance, including recently retired ballerina, Misty Copeland, who had a hip replacement three months ago. She recently told VOGUE there’s no way she could’ve passed up the opportunity.
“I just felt like it was a really important moment that I didn’t want to miss,” Copeland said. “It’s an incredible opportunity to put ballet on this stage and for it to be seen in a different light.”
Additionally on the Oscars stage, there was Eric Gales to Buddy Guy, Brittany Howard, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Bobby Rush, Shaboozey and Alice Smith. The performance was a near-recreation of the scene in ‘Sinners’ where the song is introduced.
It is one of the most memorable moments in the film. A blues song in a Mississippi juke joint opens up to showcase hip-hop DJs, rock ‘n’ roll guitarists, ballerinas and more, illustrating the Black music genre’s place at the foundation of American popular culture. When the live tribute performance to ‘Sinners’ wrapped on stage, the room exploded in applause, and gave it a standing ovation. Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan nodded and smiled afterward. His reaction was giving: approved by Smoke & Stack.
