Nolan Xavier Wells’ Parents React To Claim That He Willingly Stayed On Horn Island
On Friday, July 10, the parents of Nolan Xavier Wells appeared on ‘Good Morning America’ alongside their attorney, Benjamin Crump. Furthermore, their appearance was shared via the show’s official YouTube account. As the interview commenced, the parents were asked about the claim that their son willingly stayed behind on Horn Island. This, allegedly when the group he traveled there with left.
“That [reason] we cannot answer,” Christine explained. “I can’t fathom why he would.”
Furthermore, Elmore reiterated the same confusion.
“We’ve always taught him that if you go with a group, you stay with a group… If you go with five, you come back with five. Do not separate from the group ’cause I always say safety is in numbers. So he knew to stay with his group. So why would he split from his group? I don’t know,” Elmore explained.
Furthermore, Christine explained that Nolan usually “checked in” with her and Elmore. However, on July 4, he did not. But it did not raise concern because they knew it was his “last weekend to have fun.”
“Because that Monday he had to report to school — he was preparing to for the [camp] season,” Elmore explained, adding that they viewed the weekend as his “last hurrah.”

At that point, the interview referenced the alleged deleted text messages from Nolan’s phone. As The Shade Room previously reported, Ben Crump revealed the information during a previous interview earlier this week.
Per Christine, after she received a phone call from Warren, a teen who traveled to Horn Island with Nolan, she contacted a friend. Per the mom, her friend’s sons, who were also friends with Nolan, tracked his location on Snapchat.
“The Snapchat location looked completely different than the Life360 location… [the Life 360] was showing everywhere the phone had been. I was like, ‘Well, it’s showing that he’s back on land.’ But [Warren] was like, ‘No, he didn’t come back with us,'” she recalled.
