Nicki Minaj’s partnership with Black-owned vegan brand LØCI redefined sustainable fashion. Launched in April 2024, the Nicki Minaj x LØCI collection featured 11 unisex bio-leather sneaker styles, resulting in a 3,500% surge in website traffic, which crashed LØCI’s site, according to Forbes.

The line, priced $185-$200, sold out multiple times, with 1.3 million shoppers by the year’s end, per Yahoo. In April 2025, the second drop, DØPAMINE, introduced five vibrant colorways at $145, using recycled ocean plastic. Not to mention, Minaj’s ownership stake and creative direction continue to drive sales, cementing LØCI’s eco-chic legacy.

Tracee Ellis Ross Slays With PATTERN Beauty’s Vegan Hair Care

Meanwhile, Tracee Ellis Ross is elevating Black beauty with PATTERN Beauty, her Black-owned, vegan hair care brand launched in 2019 for curly, coily, and tight-textured hair.

Boasting over 50 PETA-certified products, PATTERN sold out nine SKUs on launch day and now thrives in 10 retailers like Sephora. In June, Tracee reunited with her ‘Girlfriends’ co-stars Jill Marie Jones, Golden Brooks, and Persia White for PATTERN’s first TV commercial, a nostalgic “CURLtender” ad that had us all in our feels.
