Social media is reacting to Brooklyn Beckham‘s claims of how his mother, Victoria Beckham, was allegedly dancing on him at his and Nicola Peltz‘s 2022 wedding.

According to Page Six, on Monday, January 19, Brooklyn Beckham took to his Instagram Story. This, to share a series of posts about his “controlling” and “performative” family.
“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” Brooklyn wrote before accusing his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship since before [his] wedding.”
Brooklyn alleged that his parents attempted to bribe him into signing away the rights to his name, being told that his wife, Nicola Peltz, was “not family,” and being ostracized by his siblings. Ultimately, Brooklyn alleged that his mom “hijacked” his first dance with his wife, and in front of 500 wedding guests, she danced “inappropriately” with him, leaving him the most “humiliated” he’s ever felt.
Per Page Six, sources who were present at the wedding confirmed that “wrapped her arms around Brooklyn” and “nuzzled into his neck” during their dance, which was originally intended for his wife.
“She was dancing with him very inappropriately. She took that moment from Nicola, that is the God’s truth. Nicola ran out crying. The Beckhams’ side of the room was cheering, and the Peltz side was quiet. Nicola’s friends were saying, ‘You have to go back down.’ Her face was swollen. She finally came down and was sad the entire evening; it was so heartbreaking,” a source explained.
To note, other sources alleged to the outlet that Victoria did not “hijack” the couple’s first dance. They alleged the moment was instead intended for a family dance and added that Victoria was not inappropriate. Per PEOPLE, Brooklyn and his wife are the only ones who have access to the wedding dance footage. However, they are reportedly keeping it under wraps to shelter their mental health.
