More Details About The Dallas Cowboys’ Playoffs Exit

According to Sports Illustrated, the Dallas Cowboys lost to Wisconsin’s Green Bay Packers with a final score of 48-32. The team’s loss reportedly marks their “third straight season” of failing to enter the conference for the Super Bowl, otherwise known as the NFC Championship.

CBS Sports adds that the Cowboys recorded 12 wins and five losses this NFL season. However, they are the first team in the NFL to do so without entering the NFC Conference Championship.

DAZN reports that the team’s last Super Bowl win was on January 28, 1996. At the time, the Cowboys took home the victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a final score of 27-17.

Social Media Reacts

Sports journalist Stephen A. Smith was among the many celebrities and fans who weighed in amid the football team’s devastating loss.  The 56-year-old took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a minute-and-a-half-long video expressing his amusement.

“I’ve been telling you all for 28 straight years and counting, just wait, be patient, they won’t let you down,” said Smith, humorously referring to the Cowboys never failing to let their fans down in monumental moments. “But you wouldn’t listen, you wouldn’t listen.”

Before concluding his thoughts, Smith explained that he and his ‘First Take’ co-host, Shannon Sharpe, would have much more to say when the sports show returns to TV screens Monday evening.

Meanwhile, fellow sports commentator and Dallas Cowboys fan Skip Bayless took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his disappointment in his team.

Bayless shared a clip of himself frustratingly throwing his Cowboy jerseys and fan attire into the trash. Additionally, the 72-year-old captioned his video with, “I am DONE with these gutless, heartless, playoff frauds.”
