More Details On Megan Thee Stallion’s Documentary, ‘Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words,’
As The Shade Room previously reported, Meg’s documentary was released on Thursday, October 31 via Amazon Prime. Per The Cut, the documentary is two hours long and aims to “show the Megan Pete behind Megan Thee Stallion.” Additionally, the outlet notes that ‘Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words’ focused on showing Megan’s rise to fame. Furthermore, the special largely documented the passing of Meg’s mother, Holly Thomas, the rapper’s friendship with Kelsey Nicole Harris, and the aftermath of the 2020 shooting incident involving Tory Lanez.

According to The Cut, the documentary showed that Meg’s mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Ultimately, Thomas’ health significantly declined, reportedly leaving her brain dead. Per the outlet, Meg was “forced to make the decision” to end her mother’s time on life support.
Amid the tragedy and her prevalent friendship with Harris, the documentary reportedly noted that Meg subsequently built a bond with Lanez. However, things changed when on July 12, 2020, she became injured with gunshots. The incident reportedly happened when after she, Lanez, and Harris were leaving a party. Per The Shade Room, Lanez was later convicted and sentenced in connection with the shooting.
Furthermore, amid Lanez’s trial, it was publicly revealed that Harris and Lanez were intimate with one another amid Meg and Lanez also having a similar relationship. Per The Cut, the documentary reportedly showed the “double betrayal” Megan encountered as “she closed herself off” from the world.
Lastly, in addition to Meg admitting that she lied to Gayle King about having relations with Lanez, the documentary also chronicled the remarks of those who seemingly disparaged Megan amid the public events and Lanez’s shooting.

In one clip obtained by The Shade Room, viewers watch as throwback clips are shared of Harris working as Meg’s assistant and the pair enjoying their time together. Additionally, another showed Harris getting emotional while speaking about the passing of Meg’s mom.
Furthermore, additional clips that surfaced on social media included Harris speaking angrily about Meg betraying her. And Meg’s real-time reaction to Tory Lanez being convicted in her shooting.
