Swizz Beatz Addresses The Highly Awaited Verzuz Match-Up
Swizz Beatz appeared as a recent guest on ‘The Breakfast Club’ radio show. During his interview, the producer was asked about a potential Verzuz match-up between Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim.
“I don’t know if the conversation stopped — Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim… We kept hearing that…
DJ Envy questioned Swizz.
“I think that..”
Swizz began to respond as DJ Envy posed the question.
“Has that boat passed?”
Swizz then replied.
“I can’t say… I can’t say… I can’t say it yet…”
DJ Envy then asked Swizz Beatz if there was still a possibility for the two female rappers to hit the Verzuz stage.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah — I can’t say it yet…”
However, Swizz Beatz did share some more of his thoughts.
“But just know, if we’re going to wait this long for Verzuz — if we’re going to have you wait this long, it’s going to definitely be worth the time…”
Additionally, Swizz went on to say that his silence on the matter means that “things are happening.”
“If anything people know about me — if I’m being quiet, things are happening…”

Lil' Kim Previously Confirmed That She's Down To Face-Off Against Nicki Minaj
As The Shade Room previously reported, Brooklyn native Lil’ Kim confirmed that she’s down to face off against the Queens native Nicki Minaj at the 2021 BET Awards.
At the time, Lil’ Kim shared her sentiments with DJ Envy as well.
“Now I have to ask, right now alright, I’m not gonna say who against but would you do a Verzuz?”
DJ Envy questioned Kim, which she confirmed with a “yes.”
Then, Lil’ Kim went on to name Nicki Minaj as her desired competitor.

A Brief Look At Lil' Kim & Nicki Minaj's Longstanding "Beef"
As The Shade Room previously reported, the two female MCs have had a longstanding “beef” dating back to around 2007.
Lil’ Kim previously called out Nick Minaj for releasing cover artwork that appeared similar to her own.
