Roomies, the 66th Annual Grammy Awards took place on Sunday, February 4, and we’re here to catch you up on all the monumental moments you may have missed!
The 2024 Grammy Red Carpet Looks
Former Danity Kane artist Dawn Richards was among the first to grace the Grammy red carpet in Los Angeles, California. The singer popped out, rocking a cherry red gown. However, it also featured a corset that sprouted into four trees that took shape above her head. According to a post shared by Richards via Instagram, the gown symbolized how she’s “bloomed” in this music industry.
Victoria Monét and her family took to the red carpet next. The singer rocked a bronze strapless gown that matched her daughter’s while her boyfriend, John Gaines, opted for a forest green suit.
Fellow singer Coco Jones arrived on the red carpet with a dazzling baby blue gown that featured a deep plunge.
Actor Kat Graham then graced the carpet in a white asymmetrical gown, which appeared to leave viewers speechless.
Miley Cyrus served up golden bronze vibes by rocking a metallic chain mail dress designed by Maison Margiela, per Business Insider. The singer also amped up her look by rocking a 1970s-styled blowout.
Chloe Bailey also hit the red carpet in an all-bronze moment while Arya Star matched Coco Jones’ fly and popped out in baby blue.
Summer Walker and Coi Leray hit the Grammy red carpet, serving up feather-adorned looks.
Doja Cat and Halle Bailey opted for looks that served body while Ice Spice took the red carpet back to Y2K.
21 Savage, Lil Durk, and Busta Rhymes were some of the gentlemen who graced the carpet.

Here's Who Took Home Awards
As The Shade Room previously reported, the 66th Annual Grammy Awards intended to include “various updates” to make the ceremony “more fair, transparent and accurate.” One of those updates included adding a Best African Music Performance award category.
South African artist Tyla would kick off the evening by taking home this award for her single ‘Water.’ Check out her Grammy look and speech below.

From there, Killer Mike swept the rap categories by taking home Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance.
However, the rapper’s evening and Grammy wins were unfortunately marred by him being taken away in handcuffs amid the award ceremony.
At the time, the cause of the rapper’s arrest remained unclear. But hours later, reports surfaced that the rapper was detained due to an alleged physical altercation with a security guard.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has since corresponded with the rapper, who says he’s all “good” following the incident.
“Over zealous security, but I am good,” he said reportedly via text.”I’m good! Three Grammys good!”

Victoria Monét would take home the Grammy for Best R&B Album with her project, ‘Jaguar II.’
Meanwhile, Lil Durk and J. Cole would take home the Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance with ‘All My Life.’
Coco Jones won Best R&B Performance with her single ‘ICU.’

In addition, SZA also took home the Grammy for Best R&B Song with her hit record ‘Snooze.’

Victoria Monét would also take home the Grammy for Best New Artist. According to VegasInsider.com, Monét is now the oldest solo artist to win the accolade. She reportedly is 34 years old, and the record was previously held by Sheryl Crow, who took home the award at 33 years old in 1994, per Grammy.com.

Here's Who Shut Down The Stage
The night kicked off with a sizzling performance from SZA, who performed various singles from her recent album, ‘SOS.’ Additionally, the project also took home the Grammy for Best Progressive R&B Album.
Fantasia would later take to the stage with an exuberant performance of the late Tina Tuner’s 1971 single, ‘Proud Mary.’
The 39-year-old’s performance elicited overwhelming reactions.

The evening would also see Burna Boy, Brandy, and 21 Savage link up on stage for a performance that took the Grammys beyond borders with its first-ever Afrobeats set.
Lastly, although it wasn’t a performance, Celine Dion also graced the stage amid recent reports regarding her health.
