When he was called the winner, cameras showed Coach Sanders and QB Shedeur immediately pop up in the audience. Hunter’s mother remained seated for a moment but stood up to an embrace from Deion.
Still, Leanna remained seated, clapping away. As Travis Hunter approached them, Sanders gently pushed on Leanna Lenee’s back to encourage her to stand up. Despite what social media says, Travis is sticking beside his woman! If you didn’t know, the couple were reportedly high school sweethearts who attended Collins Hill High School in Georgia. She’s previously admitted that she wasn’t instantly into Hunter and dismissed him as another athlete trying to slide on her. Fans and media outlets have speculated about what she said in the muffled audio of the viral video. She clarified that she asked her man whether he wanted her to sit there, go with his family, or go with him. Lenee revealed that the people Hunter was taking pictures with weren’t fans but Adidas workers for social media posts.
“I wasn’t annoyed with no fans at all. I’m never annoyed with fans. So that’s what that was.”
