Usher Expresses Interest In Headlining Super Bowl Halftime Show: ‘I’d Be A Fool To Say No’ (Video)

Usher is sharing his interest in headlining the Super Bowl halftime show! The 44-year-old R&B singer recently spoke exclusively with Access Hollywood and expressed that the goal has been on his “bucket list.”

Usher Believes His Catalog Is Pefect For The Super Bowl Halftime Show

During a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Usher said he would undoubtedly be interested in performing at the Super Bowl halftime show.

“I’d be a fool to say no…”

Usher explained.

He shared that he had the opportunity to grace the halftime stage in 2011 during Super Bowl XLV when he performed “OMG” alongside of Black Eyed Peas.

However, he believes he has the perfect catalog to warrant him as the headliner.

“I think I have a catalog that obviously speaks for itself. So to be able to celebrate on that day — it’s obviously about football, but everyone anticipates the performance…”

Usher went on to explain that after seeing artists like Michael Jackson, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Prince perform on the halftime stage, it has definitely been a “bucket list” goal for him.

“How do I make it happen? I’m not certain about that…”

Social Media Reacts

Instagram users quickly agreed with Usher’s “bucket list” goal in the comment section of The Shade Room’s Instagram post recapping the singer’s sentiments.

One user, @remitvofficial, shared their reaction.

While another user, @kierramonique_, appeared to agree.

“Usher has soooo many hits, it’ll be a great halftime show!”

Another Instagram user, @itsrachelsimone, even referenced Usher’s Las Vegas residency and how well it has highlighted his artistry.

“Vegas was the best thing for him, he’s been showing outtt”

As The Shade Room previously reported, Usher’s residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM has brought out a plethora of celebrities, including Yung Miami, Lil Baby, Jayda Cheaves, Joe Bidden, Jermaine Dupri, and more!
