In January, talks of a TikTok shutdown — and an actual one, which took place for less than 24 hours — had the TL on TILT. Ultimately, the app was restored in the States. This, with the apparent help of none other than… yep, you guessed it: Trump.

In February, Kendrick Lamar hit the Super Bowl halftime stage, throwing all the shade Drake’s way with his viral performance of ‘Not Like Us.’ The hit brought out surprise guests Samuel L. Jackson and Serena Williams while SZA joined Lamar amid the rest of his set.
Also that month, a woman named Onjiah Robinson turned into a viral sensation with a quest that took her from Brooklyn, New York, to Pakistan in search of love. In March, footage resurfaced of Marvin Sapp instructing his ushers at the 109th Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, to close the doors of the church.
