Roomies, if you thought Young Thug‘s RICO saga was behind us, think again. These leaked jail calls from his time locked up in Cobb County are dropping bombshells left and right, exposing eyebrow-raising conversations with his loved ones, like Mariah the Scientist, and about some of his industry friends. In fact, the audio tapes have caused so much controversy that Cobb County is reportedly banning any additional requests for Thugger’s calls. From very messy confessions to shady shots at the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Andre 3000, Thug held nothing back. Here are the most explosive moments that have kept everyone talking.
Cobb County Reportedly Bans Additional Requests For Young Thug’s Jail Calls
Cobb County Jail has reportedly put a stop to any further calls getting out to the public by banning requests for Thug’s calls. Loren LoRosa made these claims during a morning news report on ‘The Breakfast Club‘ on Thursday, August 11. Then, she went on to play a clip of Thug from his recent interview on ‘Perspective With Bank,’ where he revealed having put an end to any leaks from happening ever since footage of him and Mariah’s jailhouse calls got out in early 2024. This has led Thug to believe that whoever is behind these clips getting out would’ve already secured these tapes a while ago.
10. He Admitted To Cheating On Mariah The Scientist
In one leaked call from jail, Young confesses to stepping out on Mariah just days before his May 2022 arrest on RICO charges. Thug had a real talk during the call about a situation with the ‘Burning Blue’ singer after she hit him with tough questions about pics posted from one of his side situations at his Atlanta condo. “One of my little girls, she posting stuff on the internet at my condo from a long time ago,” Thug says on the phone as he recalls what he told her. He then confesses he altered the timeline to defuse a possible heated situation with Mariah, not knowing his private call would later leak. Whew!
9. He Also Shared Sexual Relations With A Correctional Officer
Another wild leak heard Thug spilling all the tea on getting WAY too close with a female correctional officer right in the facility. While Mariah has remained by his side throughout his time behind bars, it appears Thug was getting love elsewhere, too! Laughing it off in the audio, he boasts:
“Wham, I’m so P, Mariah don’t even know. I’m in that bitch still f***ing. Got that CO give up box quicker than a FedEx worker. Don’t be telling my business.”
The ‘Lifestyle’ rapper didn’t let the backlash from social media linger long after the clip hit the net. He issued a public apology to his leading lady shortly after, as he took to X, writing, “My baby, I was wrong and I’m sorry… U deserved better from me.” While Thug was quick to issue an apology, fans seemed more intrigued to hear what Mariah had to say. Well, she kept it classy, staying silent but sharing lyrics from her song ‘Rainy Days’ that read: “I put forth an open heart and I’ve been hurt. Looking back in retrospect that ain’t what I deserve.”

8. Thug Even Threw Shade At Andre 3000
Is Atlanta’s own turning on each other? In another leaked call, Young Thug didn’t shy away from his frustrations with Andre 3000, calling out the OutKast icon for not giving back to Hip Hop. “André 3000, you’re one of the biggest artists in the world. You became one of the biggest artists in the world. But you ain’t help nobody,” Thug claims.
“You ain’t put nobody on. Now you vintage. Now you goddamn can’t put out a song and go top 50. You see what I’m saying? You put a song out right now, you can’t even go top 50 […] Like, y’all n***** ain’t help nobody. All that cap rap s**t, that rap s**t don’t mean nothing. In 10, 15 years, that s**t don’t mean nothing.”
Thug questions why pioneers like Andre didn’t lift up the next wave at the peak of their career and believes that’s why some of the greats can’t pull chart-worthy numbers because of it.

7. He Reveals Feeling Felt Betrayed By Gunna
The YSL situation is still running deep, y’all, and Thug laid it all out in these leaks about his former protégé Gunna. In one clip, Thug explains his hurt over Gunna taking the plea deal in the RICO case, saying Gunna’s admission that YSL was a gang fueled the prosecution. “That’s what turned it into a RICO case,” Thug expresses frustration, adding that Gunna did it for a woman, which didn’t sit right with him at all.
It gets messier when Thug allegedly confirmed using bots to pump up streams for both his own projects and Gunna’s ‘DS4Ever,’ which ended up hitting the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. “I paid for you to have the number one album. You didn’t honestly earn a number one album over The Weeknd, my boy. I paid for that s**t,” Thug claims, revealing he allegedly dropped $50,000 on fake streams. “I love you bruh… I poured so much into him.”

6. Thugger Made Comments On GloRilla's Looks
A September 4 leak caught Thug in a nearly two-minute rant trashing GloRilla’s looks while talking to Mariah, leaving the innanet all the way shook! “Long ass bullst ass wig, skinny s***, goddamn big a** head, big mouth […] I would not pursue her, like at all,” he says, with Mariah laughing along. The Roomies went all the way off in the comments section of the post, completely gagged by Thugger’s remarks.
And apparently, GoRilla was just as surprised after she took to X shortly after, accusing him of being all up in her phone. “Mind you dis da same ni**a blowing my phone up to ask what color my eyes is lmaooo,” she wrote. The controversy prompted Thug to backpedal fast with a public apology, writing, “I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin.” Thug chalked it up to jail stress, insisting he doesn’t think she’s ugly. Some people on social media felt the apology was insincere, especially after referring to Glo as his “twin,” chile.
People also began reposting a resurfaced clip of Glo and Mariah performing at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash back in June. But this time around, people were analyzing the videos in greater detail after the call of Mariah listening to Thug go IN on the rapper surfaced.

5. Thug Disses Kendrick Lamar With Drake Comparison
Feature feuds had Thug spilling in a leak about trying to lock in Kendrick Lamar for his 2023 album ‘Business Is Business.’ Plans apparently fizzled when Lamar couldn’t deliver a verse, leaving Thug questioning, “Why wouldn’t you want to do a feature with a superstar?” He notes that he, Lil Baby, and Lil Durk all reached out in hopes of having Lamar featured on their projects. But according to Thug, they were all ghosted.
“These n***as too big like ‘Ion wanna do no features. Why?” Thug said. “Why you don’t wanna do no features? Why wouldn’t you wanna do a feature for a superstar? You really got Lil Durk for a song. Lil Baby, Thug, real superstars calling you for a song. Why wouldn’t you do the song? We lit and we going No. 1 too. F**k is you thinking?”
But this is where it got me—ssy! Thug went further, claiming Lamar will never hit Drake’s level because he doesn’t “bless” people with features like Drizzy does.

4. Thug Claims Shady Business Moves Were Made Behind Lil Baby's Back
Uh-uhnn…. business betrayals too? Thug accused music exec Scooter Braun of shady dealings with Lil Baby and Quality Control in a leaked call. According to Thug, Braun offered Baby $150 million to buy out his QC contract. But Baby insisted Pierre Thomas, aka P, be involved. Instead, Braun went straight to P, who ended up accepting a similar deal to sell the entire QC label without looping in the artists, including Baby. But P shut it down the claims, replying to the leak with a cap emoji and denying Thug’s accusations.
“Imagine some broke a** rats like @thuggerthugger1 and PeeWeeRatScoe trying to run a rat narrative on me and all my n***as that I love running with these h*e a** n***as knowing how these n***as talk about me,” he wrote in an IG Stories post, per Sportskeeda.

3. Thugger Even Dissed J. Cole
Clearly, nobody was safe from being name-dropped in these calls. In another audio clip, Thug questions J. Cole‘s collab choices in a leak, wondering why Cole never linked with NBA YoungBoy for a collab. “YB the biggest artist in the world on YouTube. Why wouldn’t J. Cole do a song with him?” Thug argues it would boost Cole’s profile and be huge for YB.
He shades him by saying, “You ain’t never in your life sold more records than this boy, this young na. Fk is you thinking? Like, tripping […] Ain’t nobody really like that s**t you’re talking about.” This comes after a failed 2021 session where YB left Cole hanging for eight hours, leading to subtle shots on tracks, per REVOLT. Still, Thug seems to think Cole is gatekeeping by not being willing to collaborate with the younger artists, such as YB.

2. Thug Spoke On Future's Parenting
Family first? Not according to Thug’s leak call, where he also drags Future’s dad skills while venting to Mariah. “You supposed to be locked in 100% with your kids but you locked in 100% with the b*tches, that’s the wrong way to go,” Thug calls out Future as an unfit father with multiple kids. Mariah adds he’s “burnt out,” and Thug agreed, contrasting him with Bob Marley, who had 11 kids but showed up. Thug also spilled on Future flaking a “Free Thug” concert, saying excuses like not stealing shine are cap… if switched, he’d ride for Future. “He do lame stuff… you biting and you ain’t real… a buster all the way around,” Thug concludes, shading their Super Slimey collabs as fake. It’s worth noting that Future has not publicly commented on the audio clips as of yet.

1. He Also Came For Drake For Not Helping Him Get Pardoned By Joe Biden
Thug blasted Drake in a call for not flexing his influence to lobby then-President Joe Biden for a pardon. He felt that, considering how close he was with Drizzy, the Canadian hitmaker didn’t give the impression he was doing enough to help his friend get out, and this triggered Thug.
“Drake, you Drake, go talk to the president,” he said. “‘Aye, man, let my little brother out. Go pardon him, go do something.’ Go talk to the president and get me out, show me that.”
The clip also dives into Drake and Metro Boomin‘s beef origins, tying it to Metro’s mom’s 2022 passing. Thug accused Drake of sending “stupid condolences” instead of real support, then circling back weeks later for a song he wanted from the producer.
“He probably just sent some stupid condolences…instead of giving him some wisdom or something real… Then, you come back two, three weeks later like, ‘Yo, let me get this song…’ instead of figuring it out… You using the fact that you’re Drake as a weapon now.”
