In Illinois, a content creator called Tea-Tyme allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian while driving and livestreaming. This, allegedly, with her child in the car. What’s more shocking is that the trend of livestreaming while driving is on the rise.

What’s going on? And what’s being done to prevent this dangerous new craze?

The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is getting answers on ‘TSR Investigates,’ speaking with social media platforms, and sharing what creators need to know before going live behind the wheel.

More On The TikToker Tea-Tyme, Who Allegedly Struck & Killed A Pedestrian While Driving & Livestreaming

According to Carter, a TikToker known as Tea-Tyme, hit and killed a 59-year-old man in Zion, Illinois, on November 3. Since then, Jackie, another streamer, went viral, landing herself in similar circumstances just last week. Subsequently, Kick, the platform on which she was streaming, immediately removed her account.

“We’re talking about lives that are involved not only the person who’s driving but other motorists on the road. It’s unfortunate,”Garrett Townsend, the Public Affairs Director of AAA, told Carter.

Fifty-nine-year-old Darren Lucas was the victim of the crash involving TikToker Tea-Tyme. Earlier this month, the TikToker struck Lucas with her car as he crossed an intersection. As the TikToker’s livestream rolled, viewers could hear a child in her backseat.
