#Roommates, Lizzo is continuing her quest for world dominationand her latest effort is securing the December cover of the prestigious British Vogue!
Lizzo is breaking Billboard records, selling out shows and giving an entire generation of young women the confidence to go after any and all of their dreams. So, it really shouldnt be a surprise that shes gracing the cover of one of the most legendary fashion magazines around. In the accompanying interview, Lizzo opened up about a number of thingsincluding her struggles with anxiety.
She explained how she uses her anxiety issues as fuel to deliver a killer performance for her fans:
When I get really, really anxious before a show, I just go harder and harder and harder when Im performing and I just go crazy. I dont know why, but my anxiety sometimes fuels who I am as a performer and who I am as an artist and I know that is not the case for everyone. I dont know if my body just, like, out of a desperate need to find a place for my anxiety or find a use for it, takes it and puts it there.
Lizzo also discussed her stance on the lack of plus size representation within the fashion industry while she was growing up, saying:
I would watch things on television and I would look at magazines and I would not see myself. When you dont see yourself, you start to think somethings wrong with you. Then you want to look like those things and when you realize its a physical impossibility, you start to think, What the f**k is wrong with me? I think that took a greater toll on me, psychologically, growing up than what anyone could have said to me.
You can grab your copy of Vogue UK when it officially hits newsstands on November 8th.
