Looks Like A ‘White Chicks’ Sequel Is Not Happening

I know a lot of die-hard “White Chicks” fans have been begging for a sequel to the 2004 comedy but unfortunately, it looks like it’s just not going to happen.

Rumors about a “White Chicks 2” being in the works have been brewing for quite some time now. Even one of the original film’s starts Terry Crews had hyped up the possible sequel during an appearance on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live.”

But today, one of the film’s creators and stars Marlon Wayans shut all that down. You can see Marlon talk about it with Angie Martinez on Power 105 below.

But once again, Marlon left the situation somewhat open-ended, saying he would love to do the film but there is nothing in the works and no plan has been created.

Angie also asked if bringing back White Chicks was a good idea, given the nature of the times and how sensitive people are to race relations and Marlon replied that now is the perfect time to make a White Chicks 2.

Back in June, Terry was real excited for the potential sequel. A fan called into “Watch What Happens Live” to ask about the film and he said, “I actually got with Shawn (Wayans) and he was like ‘man we doing it, we getting it going.’”

As you can imagine, many fans were excited to hear that the sequel was finally in the works. However, Marlon Wayans shut him down back then, too.

Marlon took to social media and posted a photo of him in character during the first film. He captioned the photo and said, “My face when Terry Crews tells the world #whitechicks2 is happening but we still don’t have a deal in place… now every fan world wise DMs excitedly “IS THIS TRUE”?! Um… NO! Not yet. #ohterry.”
