Luenell has shared strong words about Shannon Sharpe while reacting to his ESPN firing and recent settlement with Gabriella Zuniga.
On Friday, August 1, Luenell appeared as a guest on ‘Side Dish’ streamed live via Dish Nation’s YouTube channel. During the show, Luenell was asked to share her thoughts on Sharpe being fired from ESPN after settling a lawsuit with Gabriella Zuniga.
“Goody, goody, goody,” Luenell said at first. “Was that little s**t worth all that money?”
As she continued, she said, “Shannon Sharpe suffers from the same thing Dennis Rodman suffered from: ‘I’m ugly. But I made it anyway.'”
As the show went on, Luenell explained that Sharpe “doesn’t care” about her, and she “doesn’t care” about him.
“I can say what I want Shannon Sharpe, we tried to get on your show when you was popular. [And] he didn’t want me. Now, he’s losing and he’s all up on me want me to do the show. I’m not doing it, Shannon,” she said.
To note, Luenell’s apparent change of heart about Shannon Sharpe arrived over a year after she publicly shot her shot at him via Instagram. In January 2024, Luenell made headlines for telling Sharpe she also likes private planes and he should let her know if he wants “a lil mid air kitty kat.” At the time, Luenell noted her interest in appearing on his show, per Dish Nation.
Social media users weighed in on Luenell’s strong words about Shannon Sharpe in Dish Nation’s comment section.
Instagram user @headkrack wrote, “One thing @luenell is always gonna do is keep it ”
As The Shade Room previously reported, in July, it was reported that the $50 million sexual assault lawsuit filed against Sharpe by Gabriella Zuniga would be dismissed with prejudice. Additionally, attorney Tony Buzbee, who represented Zuniga, shared that Sharpe and his client “reached a mutually agreed upon resolution.” Subsequently, Zuniga herself took to social media to announce her retirement from OnlyFans.
Then, by the end of July, ESPN announced it had cut ties with Sharpe. Subsequently, Sharpe spoke out as celebrities such as Meek Mill shared their initial two cents.
