Lupita Nyong’o has seemingly shared an update on her romance with fellow actor Joshua Jackson.

On Wednesday, October 9, Harper’s Bazaar UK posted an exclusive interview with Nyong’o. The conversation began with the actor gushing over her cat, Yoyo. While speaking, Nyongo explained that her love for her cat is “singular.”
“If I’m ever so lucky to be in a romantic relationship again, it’ll be because of him,” she added.

Ultimately, Nyong’o stated that she believes her cat has kept her heart “open” to love.
“I was ready to shut that door and lock it and bolt it. He has ensured that my heart remains open,” she said.
At this time, Jackson has not publicly reacted to Nyongo’s recent comments. However, E! News reports that Jackson was recently spotted out with a model named Nastassja Roberts. Per PEOPLE, the pair were photographed together late last month.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Nyong’o and Jackson were initially spotted together at a Janelle Monae concert in October 2023. At the time, their outing reportedly arrived just weeks after Jackson’s wife, Jodie Turner-Smith, filed for divorce.
Then, in December 2023, Nyong’o and Jackson were spotted on a stroll while seemingly vacationing in Joshua Tree, California, per The Shade Room. At the time, photographers captured the pair holding hands.
In March, the pair were again spotted — this time in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, per The Shade Room. Additionally, Nyong’o and Jackson appeared much cozier as photographers captured them looking quite cozy.
A few days later, additional photos of the pair surfaced, which showed them getting hot and heavy and lip-locking.

In June, Jodie Turner-Smith broke her silence on Jackson’s relationship with Nyong’o, per The Shade Room. At the time, Turner-Smith told The Cut:
