Mariah The Scientist Responds To Buzz Surrounding ‘Burning Blue’

For context, Mariah dropped a post on her Instagram Story recently to address all of the chatter surrounding her single, ‘Burning Blue.’ Her response was kicked off by a social media user who asked folks what they thought the song actually meant. Despite their concerns, the singer made it crystal clear that she’s simply having fun with her music and no longer overthinking.

“I’m literally here just making music… I’m not going to tell you how to think too. If I think too hard about writing a song I promise it won’t be as great as when I do it effortlessly. Which is why sometimes it takes longer to do,” Mariah wrote.

Mariah didn’t stop there. She also stepped into The Shade Room to shut down more speculations about the record. The singer said folks are now accusing her of not writing ‘Burning Blue’ after her Complex interview dropped. She doubled down on letting her creativity run wild, but she doesn’t feel the need to explain everything all of the time.

“I really dont like having to explain the point of a song because a lot of times, even myself, I find different meanings to my own music over time. Like literally, idk its hard to explain, its not made with like a formula (for the people who wrote their own music),” she added.
