TSR Fam, we all love a good challenge—but not all trends are meant to be followed, especially when stilettos and kitchen counters are involved. Influencer, Mariana Vasiuc, learned that the hard way while trying to recreate Nicki Minaj’s viral “pose” challenge—and let’s just say… the only thing going viral now are her spine problems.

What Happened To Mariana Vasiuc?
Mariana Vasiuc, a mom influencer with a serious social media following, took her shot at the viral Nicki Minaj ‘High School’ stiletto challenge that’s been making rounds on TikTok lately. Inspired by Queen Nicki herself—who famously balanced in heels by a pool in the 2013 music video—the challenge dares users to recreate the risky pose. But Vasiuc took things up several notches. In the now-viral clip, she’s seen standing in sky-high stilettos on a baby formula tub stacked on top of a saucepan, all while trying to balance on a kitchen counter. And let’s just say… the saucepan said “I’m out.” She slipped, tumbled hard, and allegedly ended up with a spinal fracture.
Despite the injury, Vasiuc kept her sense of humor, writing in a now-deleted caption: “Irony? Karma? Or just life, which always tests our strength at the most unexpected moment.” Vasiuc later updated her fans saying she’s following doctor’s orders and embracing her new “star” status after over 50 people sent her the video from news outlets and blogs. “I’m doing great, following the guidelines and now living in ‘star’ status,” she wrote. One thing’s for sure: the internet never forgets, and neither will her spine.

Social Media Doesn’t Know Whether To Laugh Or Cry
Social media doesn’t know how to feel about Mariana Vasiuc’s failed stunt. Commenters flooded her Instagram section with a mix of concern and comedy, asking if she was seriously hurt, joking that her baby’s still waiting on that formula bottle, and calling the whole setup just plain “dumb.” While some offered well-wishes, others couldn’t help but point out that chasing clout in heels and kitchenware was a wild choice.
One Instagram user @petty_la_mel joked, “Nothing beats a jet2 holiday“
This Instagram user @anthonybazan7 said, “IS ANYTHING BROKE?“
And, Instagram user @montykristo14 added, “How do you say ‘f*ck around and find out’ in Russian?“
Meanwhile, Instagram user @babyfacecg commented, “get better soon tho ❤️🩹”
While, Instagram user @jamaicanhipz wrote, “Meanwhile, the baby waiting for their bottle“
Finally, Instagram user @shandel_nicole said, “And, now you have a spin broken spine unfortunately.”
Nicki Minaj Joins In On The Viral Challenge
The rap icon herself recently jumped in on the viral challenge, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her own attempt to recreate the iconic squatting stance from her 2013 ‘High School’ music video. While others have taken the trend to wild extremes, Nicki kept it closer to the original. Dressed in a stunning Chanel ensemble, the rap queen crouched down to strike the pose, but quickly let fans know her outfit wasn’t exactly made for stunt work. Though she didn’t fully complete the challenge, her playful attempt had fans living for the moment.
In a video posted to Instagram, Nicki shared the moment with the caption:
“Dear Barbz, about that pose…. Ummm this Chanel dress was just a tad shorter than I thought & the thongs definitely didn’t help. Didn’t want to make it explicit. Both feet on the ground tho. Ten toes. Ima put on a diff outfit that won’t show so much skin & do it again for you guys later. love”
