The Couple Revealed Their Pregnancy With A Special Joint Post On Instagram
Over the weekend, the couple took to Instagram to reveal to the world the growth of their family. The couple shared a joint video post with a brief caption.
“Here we grow again 🧸.”
The footage then showed Miya standing on a beach and donning a white, lace 2-piece outfit. As the 22-year-old grasped her stomach, viewers could see her growing baby bump.
Before the video concluded, the camera panned to a shot of a cake that read, “Baby Houston coming soon.” Additionally, underneath the cake were three photos of the child’s sonogram.
We should note that many social media users congratulated the couple in the comment section of the joint post. Most notable among them was former ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star Erica Mena.

The Couple Shared Their Own Post Celebrating Their Expanding Family
Afterward, the couple shared their own individual posts celebrating their growing family. Marques Houston shared additional photos of his wife from the maternity shoot.
Additionally, he explained that it is “such a blessing” to have his “life partner.”
“This incredible woman is having another child! It’s unbelievable and such a blessing to have you, and to be your baby daddy lol 😀❤️ More importantly, your husband and life partner forever! I love you more than ever! 😍🤰🏽”
Miya Houston shared excitement about their second child’s arrival in her Instagram post.
“It’s giving MOTHER. 🫶🏽 Can’t wait to meet our newest little blessing. Mommy loves you so much!”
Marques Houston’s Previous Comments Regarding The Age Gap Between Him & His Wife
As The Shade Room previously reported, Marques Houston most recently explained his decision to marry Miya, who is 20 years his junior, during an interview with Page Six in April.
At the time, he explained that one of his “red flags” are “single mothers with children.”
“A red flag to me [was] always with a woman that had a kid. Nothing against single women, but single mothers with children are a red flag for me.”
Additionally, he explained that women his age may come with “baggage.”
“There’s a lot of women my age I’ve dated, they may have baggage. They may have kids, they may not. There’s so many different women I’ve been with throughout my life, and it just so happens to be that this one [Miya] caught my heart. Everything that I prayed for — and everything that I wanted in a woman — she came with…”
Furthermore, Houston acknowledged that his wife is “young,” but he is “young in spirit.”
Earlier that month, Houston addressed the backlash he’s received since tying the knot with his wife in August 2020, as reported by The Shade Room.
“People don’t understand it. And of course, I got a lot of backlash for marrying someone that was 19. And, you know, when we did finally start to talk, I was like, ‘This woman is like me’… For one, we had a spiritual connection, and I feel like that’s the most important thing… and being able to start being around her… we connected through music and her spirit, her kindness, her heart, reminds me a lot of my mom and we connected on so many different levels.”
Additionally, he explained that when he met his wife, she was “of age.”
According to an interview with Miya Houston, published in March 2021 by Rolling Out, the soon-to-be mother of two confirmed that she and Houston did not begin dating until she was 18.
“We definitely didn’t date until I was 18, and when I was 19, we got engaged… We dated less than two years and then we got married…”
Additionally, Miya Houston shared that when Marques was courting her, he asked her grandmother for permission to date her and received it.
“I should start off with explaining how we date as Jehovah’s Witnesses.
First, it’s the courting, and how you get to know each other as a family. So, he met all my siblings and my grandparents. He asked my grandmother for her permission to date me, and she said yes,” she told the outlet. “Then he met my uncles and, of course, they had to drill him. Last, he asked me if we could date exclusively and I said yes.”
