Daddy Knowles sat down with the Breakfast Club yesterday to promote his new book, The DNA of Achievers.
But that’s not why most tuned in! We were anticipating that Matthew would spill the tea on his personal life. From Beyoncé firing him as her manager, to his divorce with Tina Knowles, all the way to the two children he fathered outside of his marriage. Matthew made it clear that he was not there for the messiness. He was playing no games! He shot down many of Charlamagne’s personal questions and even went on to call Charlamagne insecure.
I guess you can’t expect the man who gave media training to Beyonce to crack under pressure. Outside of him talking about his list of achievements, he did manage to give us a little something.
First he wants you to know, he ain’t broke! He spoke about his bootcamp and says that he only uses Beyonce’s name for promotional reasons. He also went on to say that the only reason he’s selling Destiny Child’s old items is because they’re sitting around collecting dust. Daddy Knowles made it clear that he doesn’t need the money because his resume keeps his coins coming.
He wouldn’t give us any information on the two children he fathered outside of his marriage, but he did say that he and Tina are “very good friends.”
Matthew also implies that none of these rumors has had any long lasting effect on his relationship with his daughters. He says that we don’t see him with his daughters because he doesn’t want to be seen. Um, okay.
He went on to say that he’s proud of them both for following their dreams. He compliments Solange for marching to the beat of her own drum. Oh, and he did mention that the infamous elevator fight was a jet-I mind trick. Rolls eyes
