Back in July 2020, Megan Thee Stallion was shot in both of her feet while out with both Tory Lanez and her former best friend Kelsey Nicole. Megan has called Tory out for being the person who shot her after an argument erupted in the car they were riding in, and Tory continues to maintain his innocence in the situation.
The shooting not only led to the end of her friendship with Tory, but also with Kelsey Nicole. During her interview with Rolling Stone, Megan opened up about the night of the shooting and said, “I thought everybody in the car was my friend, [and] the whole time, that’s not how they thought of me.”
She has said very little about the ending of her friendship with Kelsey until now. While speaking about feeling betrayed by Kelsey, Megan said that Kelsey had met up with Tory less than two days after the shooting occurred.
She said, “I’m like, ‘Kelsey, as my best friend, why would you meet up with the person you saw shoot your best friend?’ She said, ‘Megan, y’all wasn’t answering my calls. My back was against the wall. I didn’t know what to do.’ What the f**k do you mean your back is against the wall? You’re the only person in this situation that would clear this up for me.”
Megan continued to detail what she was reportedly told by Kelsey.
“This girl told me out her mouth, ‘He told me, “Oh, thank you for not saying nothing. Now let me invest in your business. Let me do this. Let me do that.’ And all I know was, from that day on, she never said nothing else about the whole situation online,” she said.
Following the release of Megan’s interview, Kelsey took to her Instagram to say, “I knew this was going to happen. This is just the beginning ya’ll. I know ya’ll want me to talk, but this is just the beginning. When it’s my turn, just know I’m going to break everything the f**k down.”
While becoming emotional about the shooting, Megan also said to Mankaprr Conteh from Rolling Stone, “What nobody knows is, I had to get the surgery the same night. I stayed in the hospital in California for maybe four days. Then I was in New York for a while. Both of my legs wrapped up. I could not walk. I still have bullet fragments in my feet right now. I was very scared that I was not able to be Megan Thee Stallion no more. And I was f****d up.”
Back in April, during an interview with Gayle King, Meg spoke about the shooting and tocuhed on her former friendship with Tory and said, “We were not dating, we were really close. We were friends, we hung out like every day and his mom passed too. I feel like we were bonding over that.”
