Metro Boomin Partners With The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation For ‘Single Moms Are Superheroes’ Initiative

On the heels of his hit HEROES & VILLAINS album, Metro Boomin is joining Steve and Marjorie Harvey to start a meaningful initiative that runs with his beloved superhero motif.

Metro Boomin Makes A Powerful Statement At An NFL Game

The campaign is called “Single Moms Are Superheroes,” and it was unveiled on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Specifically, the music producer purchased tickets for 26 single mothers, along with their children, to enjoy a match-up between the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers. However, TMZ reports that Metro himself chose to not attend in order to have the mothers be the focus of the event.

The outlet also obtained footage of the guests in question, and they appeared to be having a good time while donning matching shirts that read, “Single moms are the real super heroes.” They even got to spend some time on the field and really relish the moment.

Metro Boomin commemorated the initiative with an upload of his own, which he shared through Instagram on Monday. Within his caption, he warmly wrote, “Single mothers know they got my heart!!”

Additionally, The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation shared the video on social media as well.

This Moves Comes Six Months After Metro Tragically Lost His Mother

The “Single Mothers Are Superheroes” initiative is a meaningful way for Metro to give back to the community. It’s also a way for him to honor his late mother, TMZ reports.

As The Shade Room previously reported, Metro Boomin’s mother—Leslie Joanne Wayne—was found dead earlier this year. She’s believed to have been killed by her husband, who died by suicide.

This tragedy sadly occurred just about a month after the music producer shared a photo of him and his mom to commemorate Mother’s Day.

Beneath the throwback picture, Metro wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day to my best friend and a true Queen. My real life twin, I Love You always and unconditionally.”

Shoutout to Metro Boomin and The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation for coming through to advocate for single-parent households.
